The Story of King Talut (Saul) and Prophet Dawud (David) [note]

The Story of King Talut (Saul),

Prophet Dawood (David) Alaihi Salaam and Jalut (Goliath)

002-Al-Baqarah 2:246

Have you not considered the assembly of the Children of Israel after [the time of] Moses when they said to a prophet of theirs, "Send to us a king, and we will fight in the way of Allah "? He said, "Would you perhaps refrain from fighting if fighting was prescribed for you?" They said, "And why should we not fight in the cause of Allah when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?" But when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir

(But when fighting was ordered for them, they turned away, all except a few of them. And Allah is All-Aware of the wrongdoers.)

(Mujahid said that the Prophet (mentioned in the Ayah 2:246 above) is Shamwil (Samuel). Wahb bin Munabbih said: The Children of Israel remained on the straight path for a period of time after Moses. They then innovated in the religion and some of them even worshipped the idols. Yet, there were always Prophets sent among them who would command them to work righteous deeds, refrain from doing evil and who would rule them according to the commands of the Torah. When they (Israelites) committed the evil that they committed, Allah caused their enemies to overwhelm them, and many fatalities fell among them as a consequence. Their enemies also captured a great number of them, and took over large areas of their land. Earlier, anyone who would fight the Israelites would lose, because they had the Torah and the Tabut, which they inherited generation after generation ever since the time of Moses, who spoke to Allah directly. Yet, the Israelites kept indulging in misguidance until some king took the Tabut from them during a battle. That king also took possession of the Torah, and only a few of the Israelites who memorized it remained. The prophethood halted among their various tribes and only a pregnant woman remained of the offspring of Lavi (Levi), in whom the prophethood still appeared. Her husband had been killed, so the Israelites kept her in a house so that Allah may give her a boy, who would be their Prophet. The woman also kept invoking Allah to grant her a boy. Allah heard her pleas and gave her a boy whom she called `Shamwil’ meaning `Allah has heard my pleas.’ Some people said that the boy’s name was Sham`un (Simeon), which also has a similar meaning.

As that boy grew, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ raised him to be a righteous person. When he reached the age of Prophet hood, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ revealed to him and commanded him to call (his people) to Him and to His Tawhid (Oneness). Shamwil called the Children of Israel (to Allah) and they asked him to appoint a king over them so that they could fight their enemies under his command. The kingship had also ended among them. Their Prophet said to them, “What if Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ appoints a king over you, would you fulfill your vow to fight under his command”

(They said, “Why should we not fight in Allah’s سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ way while we have been driven out of our homes and our children”) meaning, `After our land had been confiscated and our children had been taken from us’ Allah said: سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ (But when fighting was ordered for them, they turned away, all except a few of them. And Allah is All-Aware of the wrongdoers) meaning; only a few of them kept their promise, but the majority abandoned Jihad and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ has full knowledge of them.

{002-Al-Baqarah 2|247} And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, Allah has sent to you Saul as a king." They said, "How can he have kingship over us while we are more worthy of kingship than him and he has not been given any measure of wealth?" He said, "Indeed, Allah has chosen him over you and has increased him abundantly in knowledge and stature. And Allah gives His sovereignty to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing [in favor] and Knowing."

Tafsir Ibn Kathir

When the Israelites asked their Prophet to appoint a king over them, he appointed Talut (Saul), who was then a soldier. But, Talut was not a descendant of the house of kings among them, which was exclusively in the offspring of Yahudha (Judah).

This is why they said:

(How can he be a king over us) meaning, how can he be the king for us,

(when we are fitter than him for the kingdom, and he has not been given enough wealth) They said that Talut was also poor and did not have the wealth that justifies him being king. Some people stated that Talut used to bring water to the people, while others stated that his profession was dyeing skins. The Jews, thus, disputed with their Prophet while they were supposed to obey him and to say good words to him.

Their Prophet () answered them:

(Verily, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  has chosen him above you) meaning, `Allah chose Talut from amongst you while having better knowledge about him.’ Their Prophet () stated, “I did not choose Talut to be your king on my own. Rather, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  has commanded that upon your request.” Further:

(…and has increased him abundantly in knowledge and stature.) meaning, `Talut is more knowledgeable and honorable than you, and stronger and more patient during combat, and has more knowledge of warfare. In short, he has more knowledge and is stronger than you are. The king should have sufficient knowledge, be fair looking and should have a strong soul and body.’ He then said:

(And Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  grants His kingdom to whom He wills.) meaning, Allah Alone is the Supreme Authority Who does what He wills and no one can ask Him about His actions, while they will be asked (about their actions by Him). This is because Allah has perfect knowledge, wisdom and kindness with His creation. Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  said:

(And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.) meaning, His favor is encompassing and He grants His mercy to whom He wills. He also knows those who deserve to be kings and those who do not deserve it

002-Al-Baqarah 2|248|And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the chest will come to you in which is assurance from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron had left, carried by the angels. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."

Tafsir Ibn Kathir

Their Prophet () then proclaimed, “The sign of the blessings of Talut’s kingship over you is that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ will give you back the Tabut (wooden box) that has been taken from you.” Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ said:

(wherein is Sakinah from your Lord) meaning, peace (or grace) and reassurance. `Abdur-Razzaq stated that Qatadah said:

(wherein is Sakinah) means grace. In addition, Ar-Rabi` said that Sakinah means mercy. This is also the meaning given by Ibn `Abbas, as Al-`Awfi narrated.

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ then said:

(…and a remnant of that which Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) left behind,)

Ibn Jarir related that Ibn `Abbas said about this Ayah:

(…and a remnant of that which Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) left behind, ) Meaning, Moses’ staff and the remnants of the Tablets. This is the same Tafsir of Qatadah, As-Suddi, Ar-Rabi` bin Anas and `Ikrimah, who added, “And also the Torah.” `Abdur-Razzaq said that he asked Ath-Thawri about the meaning of, (…and a remnant of that which Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) left behind,)

Ath-Thawri said, “Some said that it contained a pot of manna and the remnants of the Tablets, while some others said that it contained (Moses’) staff and two shoes (and refer to 20:12).”

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  then said:

(…carried by the angels.)

Ibn Jurayj stated that Ibn `Abbas said, “The angels came down while carrying the Tabut between the sky and the earth, until they placed it before Talut while the people were watching.” As-Suddi said, “The Tabut was brought to Talut’s house, so the people believed in the prophethood of Sham`un (Simeon) and obeyed Talut”

The Prophet () then said:

(Verily, in this is a sign for you) testifying to my truth in what I was sent with, my Prophethood and my command to you to obey Talut,

(If you are indeed believers. ) in Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ and the Hereafter.”

002-Al-Baqarah 2|249|And when Saul went forth with the soldiers, he said, "Indeed, Allah will be testing you with a river. So whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand." But they drank from it, except a [very] few of them. Then when he had crossed it along with those who believed with him, they said, "There is no power for us today against Goliath and his soldiers." But those who were certain that they would meet Allah said, "How many a small company has overcome a large company by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the patient."

 Tafsir Ibn Kathir

Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  states that Talut, the king of the Children of Israel, marched forth with his soldiers and the Israelites who obeyed him. His army was of eighty thousand then, according to As-Suddi, but Allah knows best. Talut said:

(Verily, Allah will try you) meaning, He will test you with a river, which flowed between Jordan and Palestine, i.e. , the Shari`ah river, according to Ibn `Abbas and others. He continued,

(So whoever drinks thereof, he is not of me;) meaning, shall not accompany me today,

(and whoever tastes it not, he is of me, except him who takes (thereof) in the hollow of his hand.) meaning, there is no harm in this case. Allah then said: (Yet, they drank thereof, all, except a few of them.)

Ibn Jurayj stated that Ibn `Abbas commented, “Whoever took some of it (the river’s water) in the hollow of his hand, quenched his thirst; as for those who drank freely from it, their thirst was not quenched.”

Ibn Jarir reported that Al-Bara’ bin `Azib said, “We used to say that the Companions of Muhammad who accompanied him on the battle of Badr were more than three hundred and ten, just as many as the soldiers who crossed the river with Talut. Only those who believed crossed the river with him.” Al-Bukhari also reported this.

This is why Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ said:

(So when he had crossed it (the river), he and those who believed with him, they said: “We have no power this day against Jalut (Goliath) and his hosts.”)

This Ayah indicates that the Israelites (who remained with Saul) thought that they were few in the face of their enemy who were many then. So, their knowledgeable scholars strengthened their resolve by stating that Allah’s promise is true and that triumph comes from Allah Alone, not from the large numbers or the adequacy of the supplies. They said to them:

(“How often has a small group overcome a mighty host by Allah’s leave” And Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ is with As-Sabirin (the patient).)

002-Al-Baqarah |250|And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people." |251|So they defeated them by permission of Allah, and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him the kingship and prophethood and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for Allah checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allah is full of bounty to the worlds. |252|These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you, [O Muhammad], in truth. And indeed, you are from among the messengers.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir

When the faithful party, who were few under the command of Talut, faced their enemy, who were many under the command of Jalut,

(They invoked: “Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience…”) meaning, send down patience on us from You.

(and set firm our feet) meaning, against the enemy and save us from running away and from feebleness,

(And make us victorious over the disbelieving people.)

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ said:

(So they routed them by Allah’s سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ leave) meaning, they defeated and overwhelmed them by Allah’s aid and support. Then,

(and Dawud killed Jalut)

Israelite accounts claimed that (Prophet) David killed Goliath with a slingshot that he had, which he launched at Goliath causing his death.

Talut promised that whoever killed Jalut, would marry his daughter and would share his kingship and authority. He kept his promise. Later, the kingship was transferred to Prophet Dawud in adefentddition to being granted Prophethood by Allah. So, Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  said:

(…and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ gave him (Dawud) the kingdom) that Talut had and, (and Al-Hikmah) that comes with the prophethood, meaning, after Shamwil.

[Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  then said:]

(and taught him of that which He willed.) meaning, what He willed of the knowledge that He bestowed on (Prophet) Dawud.

Next, Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  said:

(And if Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  did not check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief.)

This Ayah indicates that if it were not for the fact that Allah checks one set of people with another, such as when Talut and the bravery of Dawud helped the Children of Israel (against Goliath), then people would have perished. Similarly,

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  said:

{022 Al-Hajj 22:40}

[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  then said:

(But Allah is full of bounty to the `Alamin (mankind, Jinn and all that exists)) meaning, by His mercy and favor He fixes some of them by some others. Surely, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  has the wisdom, the supreme authority and the clear proof against His creation in all of His actions and statements.

Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  said:

(These are the verses of Allah, We recite them to you (O Muhammad) in truth, and surely, you are one of the Messengers (of Allah).)

This Ayah states, ‘These Ayah (verses) of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  that We have narrated for you in truth conform to the exact manner that these stories have occurred and to the truth that still remain in the (Divine) Books that the scholars of the Children of Israel have and know. Allah said: O Muhammad, (you are)

(One of the Messengers (of Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ  )) emphatically stating the truth of his prophethood)

Root of Islamic Education Part 8 [note]

 Root Islamic Education Part 8

(19 REASONS ISLAM SHOULD

DOMINATE THE FUTURE)

Nov 12, 2013 / 08 MUHARRAM 1435 HIJRI

Reason #12: Islam is a complete package.

This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned meats), then surely, Allah is Of Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Al-Ma'idah 5:3)

Whatever subject you need, it is found in the Quran. Example: spiritually is in the Quran, biology, history, criminology, psychology, etc.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) did not leave anything out of this book (Quran).

We have neglected nothing in the Book, and then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered. (Al-An'am 6:38)

Hence, Islam is a complete package. You do not need to borrow from democracy, capitalism, communism, or other falsehood.

Tawagheet are not concerned with false religions because it is not a threat to their system. They are threatening by Islam because Islam is a total package (from personal level to social level to political level and more).

And (remember) when you (Muhammad ) left your household in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle (of Uhud). And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Aali Imran 3:121)

And verily, you (O Muhammad ) are on an exalted standard of character. (Al-Qalam 68:4)

Prophet () was a father, a husband, a judge, a political leader, a military general. Additionally, he () had the best character of all. He is a perfect example.

Conclusion: Islam is a total package.

He () was all types of father: stepfather, father, and grand-father.

Reason #13: Islam has keen sense of morality

Kufar does not care about upsetting Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)

They fear to drive without car insurance.

But they do not fear homosexual activity.

Because their only fear is the tawghoot not Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)

They believe in legal and illegal. They don't care about halal and haram.

It is haram for a wife to open the door for her brother-in-law.

Sayyiduna Uqbah ibn Aamir (Radhiallaahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah () said, Beware of mixing with women. An Ansari Sahaabi enquired? Oh Rasulullah ()), what about the brother-in-law?? At this, Rasulullah () replied, ?The (Sahih Bukhari Hadith5232; Sahih Muslim Hadith563

This shows our keen sense of morality.

Muslim men are not dayouth (one that doesn't become jealous over his wife or daughter).

You have to feel jealous over every muslim woman.

Only then, you are a REAL muslim.

Abdullah ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah () said: "Three people will not enter paradise and Allah will not look to them on the Day of Judgment: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the woman who imitates men and the ad-Dayooth (cuckold, weak man who feels no jealousy over his womenfolk)..." [Musnad Ahmad (2/134) No. 6180, Musnad al-Bazzar (12/270) No. 6051, al-Sunnan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (2/63) No. 2354, al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (3/51) No. 2443]

You are not allowed to sleep under the same blanket if you are two men or two women. It is haram.

Two men or two women are not allowed to shower in front of each other naked. It is haram.

It is haram to show your private part to anyone except your wife.

So, Muslims have a keen sense of morality. So Muslims are unique.

Reason #14: Islam provides security for our 6 sacred things

1 - Life

2 - Wealth

3 - 'Izza (honor)

4 - Aql (your brain, logic)

5 - Lineage

6 - Your deen

Islam protects and safeguards our 6 sacred things.

And there is (a saving of) life for you in Al-Qisas (the Law of Equality in punishment), O men of understanding, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2). (Al-Baqarah 2:179)

When you carry out capital punishment against the murdered, you protect the lives for your citizen.

You cannot apologize to the infidel concerning issue of the shariah.

If you apologize, you show that you are not convinced about your faith.

You cannot apologize to the infidel concerning issue of the shariah.

Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All Powerful, All Wise. (Al-Ma'idah 5:38)

In the UK every minute a car is stolen.

We chop off the hand of a professional thief for stealing.

If you have a problem with this ruling of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ), then you have a problem with Allah's 99 names.

Because Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is al-Hakam (the Judge) and al-Adl (the most Just).

Al-Hakeem (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) (the all Wise)

We chop of the head of an arm robber.

Crucifixion is mentioned as a type of punishment mentioned in the Quran.

The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter. (Al-Ma'idah 5:33)

All these punishments are to protect your wealth.

Shariah brings prosperity to a land.

Man who borrows money without the intention of paying it back, is a thief.

Man who doesn't pay the dowry is fornicating.

Some countries charge $200 per month for car insurance.

This is extortion.

It is called "state extortion".

It is called "money for nothing".

Abu Huraira narrated the Prophet () said: “The one who gets married with the intention not to pay dowry to his wife is a fornicator. And the one who borrows money with the intention not to pay back is a thief.” [Ibn Hibban in ‘al-Majruheen’ (2/261) No. 941]

Third sacred thing is our 'izza (honor).

If you accuse a muslim woman of having an affair. You need four witnesses or keep quiet.

And those who accuse chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes, and reject their testimony forever, they indeed are the Fasiqun (liars, rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (An-Nur 24:4)

Muslim judge will throw out the case if the details are not provided. And if the witnesses contradict each other, they will get 80 lashes.

According to the four great scholars, this goes also for accusing a muslim man of an affair.

Khawarij don't follow qiyaas.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) said if a slave girl who commits zina, give her 50 lashes

The 4 great scholars said this goes for slave boy also.

But the khawarij don't believe in qiyaas, they refuse to give 50 lashes to the slave boy.

In Muslim community, we hide the sins of our brothers and sisters.

In kafir country, they tap your phone to record your sin.

And they can blackmail you and trash your character.

The Islamic culture is not to disgrace others by exposing their sin.

But in kafir culture, they disgrace each other's by exposing their sin.

Next sacred thing you have is your aql (your brain).

Islam protects your aql by making alcohol haram and marijuanna haram.

Those that smoke marijuanna, their salat will be disregarded for 40 days and 40 nights.

‘Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger ()) said, “If anyone drinks wine then his salah over forty days are not approved. If he repents then Allah will relent to him. If he reverts (to it), then Allah will not approve his salah over forty days. If he repents, Allah will relent to him but if he reverts (to it) then Allah will not approve his salah over forty days. If he repents then Allah will relent to him. Again, if he reverts the fourth time, Allah will not approve his salah over forty days and if he repents then Allah will not relent to him and He will give him to drink from the river of Khabal.” Someone asked, “O Abu Abdur Rahman! what is the river of Khabal?’ He said, “The pus of the dwellers of the people of fire.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/290) No. 1862, Sunan Nasa'i (8/317) No. 5670, Musnad Ahmad (2/35) No. 4917, al-Mu’jam al-Kabir al-Tabarani (12/390) No. 13441]

Also, those who drink, their salat will not be accepted for 40 days and 40 nights.

Islamic shariah execute drug smugglers.

Because they spread mischief in the land.

Fifth sacred thing is your lineage.

Hence, your wife is not allowed to open the door to strange men.

Even your brother in law.

Because maybe your wife is pregnant, and you are not the father.

1/10 child in the UK is born to the wrong father.

Sayyiduna Uqbah ibn Aamir (Radhiallaahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah ()) said, ?Beware of mixing with women.? An Ansari Sahaabi enquired, ?Oh Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam), what about the (Al Hamu) brother-in-law? At this, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied? The brother-in-law is death itself? (Sahih Bukhari Vol 7 Book 67 hadith 5232; Sahih Muslim Hadith563

This problem has been acute due to DNA testing.

Islam forbids fornication and adultery to protect your lineage.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) said some people have the sickness of the heart, they love to seduce other people's wife.

O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allah), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner (Al-Ahzab 33:32)

Hypocrites love to commit adultery because they also carry this sickness in their heart.

The man who has this kind of heart must be killed.

They like to target married woman.

The sixth sacred thing is your deen.

The khalifh is not allowed to permit kufr, shirk, and zandaqa to spread in the land.

They have the responsability to protect the deen of the people.

The khalifh is a shepherd over his people.

But in a democracy anyone can come with a false belief and preach.

because in a democracy they don't protect your deen.

it is not compatible with Islam.

Paltalk room can be dangerous.

They spread kufr, Some room insult Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and His messengers.

And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'an) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell, (An-Nisa 4:140)

When you want white teeth, you go to the best dentist.

When you need surgery, you go to the best surgeon.

But to learn your deen, you go to those who aren't qualified.

So the deen is cheap and a big joke to you.

'Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Muhammad Ibn Habeeb Ibn Abee Habeeb on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather [who] said: I witnessed Khaalid Ibn 'Abdullah Al-Qasree - and he addressed them at Waasit - "Oh People, make sacrifice, may Allah accept it from you. Verily I am sacrificing Al-Ja'd Ibn Dirham, for indeed he claims that Allah did not take Ibrahim as a khaleel (close friend), and [that] He did not speak to Moosa. Most Perfect is He and exalted is He from what Al-Ja'd says." Then he descended and slaughtered him. I say: And the Jahmiyyah and Mu'tazilah speak with this, and they distort the text of the revelation regarding that, and they claim that the Lord is purified of that (i.e. having spoken to Moses and taken Ibrahim as a khalil). [Mukhtasar al-Uluww of adh-Dhahabi, (p.134)]

Whoever shields [or hides the misdeeds of] a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will aid His slave so long as he aids his brother. [Sahih Muslim (4/2074) No. 2699, Sunan Tirmidhi (5/195) No. 2945, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/152) No. 225, Musnad Ahmad (2/252) No. 7421]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle () as saying: The servant (who conceals) the faults of others in this world, Allah would conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. [Sahih Muslim, Chapter 19 Book 32, Hadith 6267]

Asma' Bint Yazid narrated the Prophet () said: "Whoever defends the honour of his brother in absence has the right over Allah to be freed from the Fire." [Musnad Ahmad (6/461) No. 27650, al-Mu’jam al-Kabir al-Tabarani (24/176) No. 443, Musnad Abu Dawud at-Tayalisi (3/201) No. 1737]

15: Islamic is meticulously documented

-A chain of transmitters leading back to the Prophet ().

if the chain of transmitters is broken, the hadith is weak, if the chain of transmitters is sound, the hadith is classified as Sahih (authentic).

if some one in the chain of transmitters is known for making mistakes sometimes, the hadith is Hasan or Daif (weak).

if a liar is found in the chain of transmitters, the hadith is classified as fabricated

if a person with a person with weak, memory is found in the chain of transmitters, its classified Daif (weak)

Islam is the only religion in which its sources are meticulously documented so this is the 15th reason why Islam shall dominate the future.

Jar wa Ta'deel means to validate and invalidate the transmitters.

Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. (An-Najm 53:3-4)

Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abdullah narrated from his father that: The Prophet said: "May Allah cause his face to shine, the man who hears a Hadith from us and conveys it, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed may remember it better than the one who (first) hears it." (Sunah Ibn Majah Vol 1 book 1 hadith 232}

Ibnul-Mubaarak:

الإسناد من الدين لو لا الإسناد لقال من شاء ما شاء

“The chain of narration is from our Religion.  If it were not for the chain of narration, whoever wanted to could say whatever he wished.” (no takhreej)

our role models are not the stars of Hollywood and bollyhood, our role models are not singers and movie starts, not soccer players of Manchester, etc...

our role models are Rasul and his nobel companions.

10 Sahabas promised paradise by Prophet they are your role models.

And verily, you (O Muhammad ) are on an exalted standard of character. (Al-Qalam 68:4)

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad ) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much. (Al-Ahzab 33:21)

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah () said, "I was sent to perfect good character." [Al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari, No. 273, Muwatta Malik (2/75) No. 1885, Musnad Ahmad (2/381) No. 8939, Mustadrak al-Haakim (2/670) No. 4221]

Narrated By Abu Said Al-Khudri...Allah's Apostle said, "The person who has favoured me most of all both with his company and wealth, is Abu Bakr. If I were to take a Khalil other than my Lord, I would have taken Abu Bakr as such, but (what relates us) is the Islamic brotherhood and friendliness. All the gates of the Mosque should be closed except the gate of Abu Bakr." [Al-Bukhari (3904) and Muslim (2382)]

Uqbah ibn Aamir (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger () said, “If there were to be a Prophet () after me then he would be Umar ibn Al-Khattab.” [Musnad Ahmad (4/154) No. 17441, Sunan Tirmidhi (5/619) No. 3686, Mustadrak al-Haakim (3/92) No. 4495]

On the authority of Anas bin Malik (RA) who reported that the Messenger of Allah () said: "For every Ummah there is an Amin (trustee) and the Amin (trustee) of our Ummah is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarah." [Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol 5 Book 62 Hadith 3744] and Muslim (2419)]

Narrated By Jabir: The Prophet said, "Who will bring me the information about the enemy on the day (of the battle) of Al-Ahzab (i.e. Clans)?" Az-Zubair said, "I will." The Prophet said again, "Who will bring me the information about the enemy?" Az-Zubair said again, "I will." The Prophet said, "Every prophet had a disciple and my disciple is Az-Zubair." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 52, Hadith 99]

Narrated By 'Aisha: I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet as much as I did of Khadija (although) she died before he married me for I often heard him mentioning her, and Allah had told him to give her the good tidings that she would have a palace of Qasab (i.e. pipes of precious stones and pearls in Paradise) and whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would send her women-friends a good share of it [Sahih Bukhari Volume 5 Book 63 Chapter 20 No. 3816 ARA/ENG]

Narrated By Abu Huraira: At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet asked Bilal, "Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise." Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Book 21, Hadith 250]    [Bukhari Vol 2 Book 19 (1149) ARA/ENG]
