 CANCERS OF THE BODY OF THE UMMAH

MURJRI 

From the word rajaa: meaning hope

Murjia the one who gives hope. hope to the people who are outside the fold of Islam.

Murji also means to postpone
He postpones judgement on someone who is a kaafir, even when the text is clear In Islam there is something we call chain takfir.

Abu al-Husain Muhammad Ibn Ahmad al-'Asqalani said: «The Mu'tazila of Baghdad and Basra, and all of ahl al-Qibla, there is no ikhtilaf between them concerning, that the one who doubts regarding the kafir then he himself is a kafir, because the doubter (sakk) concerning kufr there's no ‘iman for him, because he don't know kufr from ‘iman. So there's no dispute between the Umma, the Mu'tazila and other than them; that the doubter concerning the kafir is kafir! “ {Taken from (Kitab al-Tanbih wa al-Radd 'ala ahl al-Ahwa' wa al-Bida’, by Muhammad Ibn Ahmad al-Malati}

You become a kaafir when you fail to make takfir on someone even when the text is clear
This takfir can only be applied when the text is clear

The person who says the Quran is corrupted, this is clear
You have to make takfir on him

Where did the Murji go astray?
You make takfir because he is saying Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) broke His promise to protect the Quran

Where did the Murji go astray?

They went astray in regards to their definition of eemaan
They have four definitions of eemaan and all four are wrong:

1) Eemaan is awareness

As long as you are aware that Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) exists and that Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a prophet you are a Muslim
Abu Talib as aware that Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was a prophet, but he died a kaafir
They marginalise eemaan awareness

2) Eemaan is conviction of the heart

With this dodgy definition, they have included the pharaoh inside the fold of Islam

And they belied them (those Ayat) wrongfully and arrogantly, though their own selves were convinced thereof [i.e. those (Ayat) are from Allah, and Musa (Moses) is the Messenger of Allah in truth, but they disliked to obey Musa (Moses), and hated to believe in his Message of Monotheism]. So see what was the end of the Mufsidun (disbelievers, disobedient to Allah, evil-doers, liars) (An-Naml 27:14)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) said that pharaoh was convinced in his heart that Musa (AS) spoke the truth

3) Eemaan is the mere declaration with the tongue

With this dodgy definition they have included all of the hypocrites inside the fold of Islam

When the hypocrites come to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), they say: "We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah." Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars indeed. (Al-Munafiqun 63:1)

This is the plight of the Murji. They cannot define properly.

This ayat proves that eemaan is not just a declaration of the tongue.

When a man wants to marry a Muslim girl he takes shahadah with his tongue.

They take shahadah but don't go to the masjid.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) says you are a kaafir if you don't go to the masjid.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah At Tawbah verse 17

It is not for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), to maintain the Mosques of Allah (i.e. to pray and worship Allah therein, to look after their cleanliness and their building, etc.), while they witness against their own selves of disbelief. The works of such are in vain and in Fire shall they abide. (At-Tawbah 9:17)

The translators are telling you what maintain means.

In Trinidad and Guyana the boys take fake Shahada to marry the girls and they don't attend the masjid.

The murji is telling you to trust someone when he takes the Shahada as a Muslim.

This is dangerous even if he doesn't practice.

4) CONVICTION OF THE HEART AND DECLARATION OF THE TONGUE

They have included shaitan in the fold of Islam.

[Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected." (Al-Hijr 15:36)

The shaytan has fulfilled these two conditions.

They have made the shaitan their brother in Islam.

They shaitan knows that Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) is his Lord and declares it.

He believes in life after death, in the day of resurrection.
On that day the shaitan will make a mockery of them.

Those who worship him.
There is only one correct definition of eemaan, and this was given to us by ibn Abbas (RA).

Eemaan is conviction of the heart, declaration with the tongue and implementation with the limbs.

The shaitan does not practice implementation with the limbs.

He is a kaafir because he practices the others but not this one.

He refuses to practice implementation of the limbs.

This is why he is a kaafir.

And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam" And they prostrated except Iblis (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah). (Al-Baqarah 2:34)

The bowing here was the bowing of respect not of worship.

This bowing of respect is not allowed in the Sharia of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
This was only allowed in the Sharia of Adam (AS) and the previous Prophets.

5) OUR ACTIONS ARE NOT A PART OF OUR EEMAAN

They believe because of this they are allowed to be a non-practicing Muslim.
They believe Islam is in their heart, they don't need to practice.

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: "Faith has over seventy branches or over sixty branches, the most excellent of which is the declaration that there is no god but Allah, and the humblest of which is the, removal of what is injurious from the path: and modesty is the branch of faith." [Al-Bukhari (8) and Muslim (56)]

This Hadith proves the murji wrong who say actions are not a part of eemaan

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah Al Baqrah verse 143

And Allah would never make your faith (prayers) to be lost (i.e. your prayers offered towards Jerusalem). Truly, Allah is full of kindness, the Most Merciful towards mankind. (Al-Baqarah 2:143)

The scholars us this hadith and 2:143 to refute the Murji.
Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) says in this ayat that the prayers are part of eemaan.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah At Tawbah verse 11

But if they repent, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know. (At-Tawbah 9:11)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) uses 9:11 to say there is no such thing as a non-practicing Muslim.

Ibn Hanbal (RA) used this in a debate to refute imam Shafi (RA).

6) THERE IS NO HARAAM THAT CAN EJECT ONE OUT OF ISLAM

The say this because they have recited the shahada
The Christians say* accept Jesus as your lord and savoir and you are saved*

A Christian is a murji.

The Shiites say just love ail and you will be saved everyone is taking the path of the murji because it is easy.

They think they don't have to make one rak'at, don't have to go to hajj.
They think they don't have to do this and still they are saved.

They like to prey upon Muslims how are jahil.

Muslims who don't know anything about Tawheed.

EVIDENCE OF ALLAH MAKING TAKFIR ON PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THEIR ACTIONS

In the following ayat Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) makes takfir on people who dabble in black magic.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) said in the Qur'an surah Al Baqarah verse 102

They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." (Al-Baqarah 2:102)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah Al Ma'idah verse 51

O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong­doers and unjust). (Al-Ma'idah 5:51)

Ibn Hazm Stated in Al-Muhalla (11/138): "What is correct is that His statement, the Most High, "And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them." (The Quran 5:51), should be understood on the basis of its apparent meaning. The person being referred to is a disbeliever from the generality of disbelievers, and no two Muslims disagree regarding this."

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) has made takfir in the above ayat on those who take sides with the kuffar against the Muslims.

Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab, may Allah have mercy on him, gathered ten actions that negate one's Islam (Nawaqid ul-'Ashr), the eighth one of which states: "Assisting the disbelievers (against the believers) (Mudhaharatul Mushrikeen) and supporting them against the believers (is from the actions that negates of one's faith). The Proof being the statement of Allah, "And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers and unjust). (The Quran 5:51)."

The Pakistanis allowed the crusaders to destroy Afghanistan.

The house of Saud allowed the Americans to use their land and airspace to kill Muslims, to destroy Iraq.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) said in the Qur'an surah An Nisa verse 140

And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'an) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell, (An-Nisa 4:140)

in the above mentioned ayat Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) has made takfir on those who sit where the deen of Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) is ridiculed.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) said in the Qu'ran surah At Tawbah verse 65-66

If you ask them (about this), they declare: "We were only talking idly and joking." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger (SAW) that you were mocking?" Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.) (At-Tawbah 9:65-66)

This ayat is where Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) makes takfir on one who mocks the deen
The murji gives himself hope, murjaa means to give hope.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ said in the Qu'ran Surah Fatir verse 14

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad SAW) like Him Who is the All ­Knower (of each and everything). (Fatir 35:14)

In the above mentioned ayat Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) makes takfir on all the grave worshippers.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah Az Zumar verse 3

Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. (Az-Zumar 39:3)

These two verses are the knock out punch for the Berailvis.
When the mujahideen tear down the shrines of the Berailvis they cry.

You are destroying their gods.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran Surah Al An'am verse 121

Eat not (O believers) of that (meat) on which Allah's Name has not been pronounced (at the time of the slaughtering of the animal), for sure it is Fisq (a sin and disobedience of Allah). And certainly, the Shayatin (devils) do inspire their friends (from mankind) to dispute with you, and if you obey them [by making Al­ Maytatah (a dead animal) legal by eating it], then you would indeed be Mushrikun (polytheists) [because they (devils and their friends) made lawful to you to eat that which Allah has made unlawful to eat and you obeyed them by considering it lawful to eat, and by doing so you worshipped them, and to worship others besides Allah is polytheism]. (Al-An'am 6:121)

The pagan Arabs used to eat animals that died without slaughtering'.

They would called to the Muslims and tell them come and eat the meat that Allah {سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎} slaughtered.
Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said if you eat their meat you are just like them.
You are a mushrik just like them.
You have made it halaal to eat their meat.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah At Tawbah verse 31

They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God - Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)[]. Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)." (At-Tawbah 9:31)

In above mentioned ayat, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) has made takfir on those who take their rabbis and priests for lords beside Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎).

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah At Tawbah verse 17

It is not for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), to maintain the Mosques of Allah (i.e. to pray and worship Allah therein, to look after their cleanliness and their building, etc.), while they witness against their own selves of disbelief. The works of such are in vain and in Fire shall they abide. (At-Tawbah 9:17)

In the above mentioned ayat, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) is making takfir on people who abandon the masjid.
When a munafiq calls you a takfiri says so what, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) has made takfir on these.

Abu Al-Ja'd (meaning Ad-Damri) narrated, and he was a Companion according to the claim of Muhammad bin Amr: the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever neglects the Friday prayer three times (in a row) without an excuse, then Allah sets a seal upon his heart.'"

[Sunan Tirmidhi (2/373) No. 500, Musnad Ahmad (3/424) No. 15537, Sunan Abu Dawud (1/277) No. 1052, Sunan al-Nasa'i (3/88) No. 1369, Sunan Ibn Majah (2/213) No. 1125, Sunan al-Darime (1/444) No. 1571, Muwatta Malik (1/180) No. 468]

If they call you a takfiri it is a compliment

You don't want them to call you a khawarij

7) They give the excuse of ignorance to people who worship a false deity saying they don't know better

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah Al Baiyinah verse 1

Those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and among Al-Mushrikun, were not going to leave (their disbelief) until there came to them clear evidence. (Al-Baiyinah 98:1)

In this ayat Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) has made takfir on them before.
The evidence was brought to them (the Jews and the Christians).
Because they went against their natural instincts and worshiped false gods.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah Al A'raf verse 172

And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this." (Al-A'raf 7:172)

This is the knockout punch against the deviants who worship false deity.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah Al Baqarah verse 166

When those who were followed, disown (declare themselves innocent of) those who followed (them), and they see the torment, then all their relations will be cut off from them. (Al-Baqarah 2:166)

SNAKE NAZIM PHONE CALLING THE PROPHET: [Click]

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran Surah Al Baqarah verse 167

And those who followed will say: "If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us." Thus Allah will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire. (Al-Baqarah 2:167)

It is important to know which Quranic verse to use for every deviant.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah Al Ahzab verse 66-69

On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)." And they will say: "Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the (Right) Way. Our Lord! give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!" O you who believe! Be not like those who annoyed Musa (Moses), but Allah cleared him of that which they alleged, and he was honourable before Allah. (Al-Ahzab 33:66-69)

On Day of Judgement, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) will put the evil scholar and his students in Hellfire.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah As Saffat verse 31-34

"So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. Certainly, that is how We deal with Al­ Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.) (As-Saffat 37:31-34)

The above ayah is additional hujjah against those who worship other than Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا) by the excuse of ignorance.
The above is evidence that we cannot give them excuses for ignorance to worship a false deity.
Even if you follow an evil scholar who tells you to worship false deity.
The Murji said; "we are not here to judge".

How do you refute this creed?

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah An Nisa verse 35

If you fear a breach between them twain (the man and his wife), appoint (two) arbitrators, one from his family and the other from her's; if they both wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation. Indeed Allah is Ever All­ Knower, Well ­Acquainted with all things. (An-Nisa 4:35)

So in the above ayah, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) says to appoint two judges as arbitrators to save a marriage.

So this argument "we are not here to judge" is rubbish.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran surah Al Ma'idah verse 42

(They like to) listen to falsehood, to devour anything forbidden. So if they come to you (O Muhammad SAW), either judge between them, or turn away from them. If you turn away from them, they cannot hurt you in the least. And if you judge, judge with justice between them. Verily, Allah loves those who act justly. (Al-Ma'idah 5:42)

This is yet another ayah that Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) says to judge with justice.

 Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah An Nisa 58

Verily! Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those, to whom they are due; and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All­ Hearer, All­ Seer. (An-Nisa 4:58)

It is easy to refute a murji with the above ayah.

ANOTHER CREED OF THE MURJI IS WHENEVER A PERSON COMMITS MAJOR KUFR, HE IS NOT A KAFIR UNTIL HE MAKES IT HALAL WITH HIS TONGUE.

How do you refute this creed?

This is also the creed of the Madkhalis.

They say the leader is not a kafir evil until he announces halal haram with his tongue.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an Surah At Tawbah verse 66

If you ask them (about this), they declare: "We were only talking idly and joking." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger (SAW) that you were mocking?" Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). (At-Tawbah 9:66)

The above ayah, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) made takfir on people who were joking about the deen.

Narrated By Al-Bara' ibn Azib: I met my uncle who was carrying a standard. I asked him: 'Where are you going?' He said: 'The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) has sent me to a man who has married his father's wife. He has ordered me to cut off his head and take his property.'

[Sunan Abu Dawud (4/157) No. 4457, Sunan al-Nasa'i (6/109) No. 3332, Sunan al-Darime (2/205) No. 2239, Musnad Ahmad (4/290) No. 18580]

Whenever someone commits a major kufr, he becomes a disbeliever even if he doesn't make it halal with his tongue.
The condition when someone is not a kafir by not making it halal with his tongue is for minor kufr.

For example, if a man is drinking alcohol, he is not a kafir unless he makes alcohol halal with his tongue.
Drinking alcohol is minor kufr.
However, if a man does black magic even though he didn't make it halal with his tongue, he is a kafir because black magic is major kufr.

ANOTHER CREED OF THE MURJI, THEY REFUSE TO MAKE TAKFIR EVEN IF THE TEXT IS CLEAR.

Al-Albani: (We don’t think this accurate is in absolute sense, because it is possible that this insult (sabb) or reviling (satam) is the result of ignorance, bad upbringing, negligence, And lastly it could be with intent and knowledge, and in that case, it is a clear apostasy, of which there's no doubt. But if it carries either of the former situations which I pointed at. Then it's best Islamic to refrain from takfir than to rush towards it) {Source: Silsilat al-Huda wa al-Nur, tape nr. 820, min. 46:03)}

For example, Al-Albani passed a fatwa that a man is not kafir even though he insults the Prophet (ﷺ).

Due to bad upcoming or a jahil.

A lot of Madkhalis take their creed from al-Albani.

Al-Imam Ishaq Ibn Rahawayh said: (All Muslims are in consensus that whoever curses Allah or curses His Messenger, or rejects something from what Allah revealed, or killed a prophet, that he is a kafir; and even if he accept what was revealed by Allah. And Al-Khattabi said, "I don't know of anyone who disagrees with the obligation of his killing." And Muhammad Ibn Sahnun said that the scholars are in consensus that the one who curses the Messenger is a Kafir; and whoever doubts his Kufr is a Kafir.) Taken from (Kitab al-Sarim al-Maslul 'ala satim al-Rasul, by Ibn Taymiyya)

Such person who insults a Prophet (ﷺ) is a kafir and also those who claim otherwise.

ANOTHER CREED OF THE MURJI IS THAT CHRISTIANS AND JEWS ARE NOT KAFIR, THEY ARE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK.

They use 2:62 as their hujjah.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah Al Baqarah verse 62

Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve . (Al-Baqarah 2:62)

How do you refute this creed?

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Baiyinah verse 6

Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. (Al-Baiyinah 98:6)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Mai'dah verse 72 to 73

Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong­doers) there are no helpers. Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. (Al-Ma'idah 5:72-73)

In the above ayahs, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) has made takfir on the Christians and Jews.

So how do we deal with 2:62?

This verse is talking about the Jews who lived in the time of Musa (AS) and the Christians who lived in the time of Jesus (AS).

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qu'ran Surah Al Baqarah verse 62

Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Al-Baqarah 2:62)

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, any Christian or Jew who heard about me and died whilst rejecting me, such a person is in the hell fire to abide there forever." [Sahih Muslim (1/134) No. 153 and Musnad Ahmad (2/350) No. 8594]

This verse is not talking about current day Christians and Jews.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah Al Imran verse 85

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. (Aali Imran 3:85)

We ask them to fear Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) and stop spreading falsehood about Allah's deen.

ANOTHER CREED OF THE MURJI IS THAT IT IS PERMISSIBLE FOR A MUSLIM GIRL TO MARRY CHRISTIANS OR JEWS.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an surah Al Baqarah verse 221

And do not marry Al-Mushrikat (idolatresses, etc.) till they believe (worship Allah Alone). And indeed a slave woman who believes is better than a (free) Mushrikah (idolatress, etc.), even though she pleases you. And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikun till they believe (in Allah Alone) and verily, a believing slave is better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater, etc.), even though he pleases you. Those (Al-Mushrikun) invite you to the Fire, but Allah invites (you) to Paradise and Forgiveness by His Leave, and makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to mankind that they may remember. (Al-Baqarah 2:221)

They claim this ayah is only talking about pagans not Jews and Christians.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Mumtahinah verse 10

O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them, Allah knows best as to their Faith, then if you ascertain that they are true believers, send them not back to the disbelievers, they are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them. But give the disbelievers that (amount of money) which they have spent [as their Mahr] to them. And there will be no sin on you to marry them if you have paid their Mahr to them. Likewise hold not the disbelieving women as wives, and ask for (the return of) that which you have spent (as Mahr) and let them (the disbelievers, etc.) ask back for that which they have spent. That is the Judgement of Allah. He judges between you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Al-Mumtahinah 60:10)

In this above ayah, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) did not say pagans but kufar meaning non-Muslim men.

ANOTHER CREED OF THE MURJI IS THAT OUR EMAAN DOESN'T RISE NOR FALLS.

Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ا said in the Qur'an surah Al Imran verse 173

Those (i.e. believers) unto whom the people (hypocrites) said, "Verily, the people (pagans) have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them." But it (only) increased them in Faith, and they said: "Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)." (Al Imran 3:173)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) said in the Qur'an Surah At Tawbah verse 124

And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the Qur'an), some of them (hypocrites) say: "Which of you has had his Faith increased by it?" As for those who believe, it has increased their Faith, and they rejoice. (At-Tawbah 9:124)

Hanzala reported: We were in the company of Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and he delivered to us a sermon and made a mention of Hell-Fire. Then I came to my house and began to laugh with my children and sport with my wife. (Hanzala) further reported: I went out and met Abu Bakr and made a mention of that to him. Thereupon he said: I have done the same as you have mentioned. So we went to see Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said to him: Allah's Messenger, Hanzala has become a hypocrite. And he (the Holy Prophet) said Show respite. And then I narrated to him the story, and Abu Bakr said: I have done the same as he has done. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Hanzala, there is a time for worldly affairs and a time for (worship and devotion), and if your state of mind is always the same as it is at the time of remembrance of Allah, the Angels would shake hands with you and would greet you on the path by saying: As-Salamu-Alaikum. [Sahih Muslim (4/2107) No. 2750]

Anas Ibn Malik narrated, "A funeral procession passed by and they were praising the dead man. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), said, 'It is mandatory.' Then another passed and they were speaking ill of the dead man. He said, 'It is mandatory.' 'Umar ibn al-Khattab said, 'What is mandatory?' He said, 'You praised this one, and so the Garden is mandatory for him and you spoke evil of this one, so the Fire is mandatory for him. You are the witnesses of Allah on the earth.'" [Al-Bukhari (1367) and Muslim (949)]

When the Murji says to you that we are not here to judge.
You reply with the above hadith.

Because of a dead body who passed by the companions, they spoke good for him yet the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) refute them.
Also another dead body passed by the companions, and they spoke ill of it yet the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) did not refute them.

Ibn Mas'ud (RA) said, "Whatever the Muslims see as good is good with Allah, Whatever the Muslims see as bad, Allah sees as bad." [Mustadrak al-Haakim (3/83) No. 4465, classed as Sahih by Adh-Dhahabee]

When then Murji says we are not here to judge, remind them of the hadith where it says Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) sees good whatever the Muslims see as good.
And Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎) sees bad whatever the Muslims see as bad.
And whenever the Murji says that we give the excuse of ignorance to those who worship false deity.

Narrated from Anas (RA) that a man said: “O Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, where is my father?” He said: “In Hell.” When he turned away he called him back and said: “My father and your father are in Hell.”[Sahih Muslim (Vol. 1, pg. 191) No. 203]

You reply that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said his own father is in hellfire.
Even though he died before Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) came.
And whenever the Murji says "I am a non practicing Muslim".

Jabir (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “Between a man (Muslim) and shirk and disbelief lies neglect of Salah.”

[Sahih Muslim (1/88) No. 82, Sunan Tirmidhi (5/13) No. 2620, Sunan Abu Dawud (4/219) No. 4678, Sunan Ibn Majah (2/181) No. 1078, Sunan An-Nasa'i (1/232) No. 463, Musnad Ahmad (3/370) No. 15021]

Abdullah ibn Shaqiq Uqayli (RA) reported, saying “The companions of Muhummad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) did not regard neglect of any of the deeds as disbelief as they did (neglect) of Salah."[Sunan Tirmidhi (5/14) No. 2622 and Mustadrak al-Haakim (1/48) No. 12 who said it met the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Buraidah reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, "The pact between us and them is prayer. Whoever abandons it is a disbeliever." [Musnad Ahmad (5/346) No. 22987, Sunan al-Nasa'i (1/231) No. 463, Sunan Tirmidhi (5/13-14) No. 2621, Sunan Ibn Majah (2/181) No. 1079]

You reply with the hadith that the difference between a Muslim and a kafir is as-salah.
