THE MUSLIM CHARACTER
Jan-30-2012
- This topic is very
important; therefore we won’t rush through the topic
- the majority of Muslims are living in darul harb and if you do, it takes a
toll on your character
- whenever you have milk and don’t want it to go off, you put it in a
refrigerator
- therefore you need to put the Muslim in an Islamic environment
The kufaar have the Mardi Gras and they march for Gay people
- this is what you see in darul harb
You come to Paltalk and listen to Qur'an and Sunnah for 2 or 3 hours
- but the rest of the time you are in the
society
- and you can’t be living in a cancer and not get affected by it
Many Muslim sisters living in darul harb are not married
- because they can’t find a man with the right
Aqeedah and character
- some have right Aqeedah but no good character and vice versa
TRUSTWORTHINESS
- can we trust you with our wives, money etc?
- will you pay our money back when we lend you or you will steal it?
- some Muslims steal as if there is no judgment
The Prophet (ﷺ)
said: “The one who gets married with the intention not to pay dowry to his wife
is a fornicator. And the one who borrows money with the intention not to pay
back is a thief.” (Ibn Hiban, 2/270)
Rasul (ﷺ) said
if you borrow money not to pay it back is a thief
- and this is what people do nowadays, that is stealing
A man bore witness in the presence of `Umar ibn
al-Khattaab (RA), so `Umar said to him: “I do not know you, and it does not
harm you that I do not know you, but bring someone who does know you.” So a man
said: ‘I know him, O Chief of the Believers.’ Umar said: “What do you know of
him?” The man said: ‘Uprightness.’ Umar said: “Is he your closest neighbour; so
that you know about his night and his day, and his comings and goings?” The man
said: ‘No.’ Umar said: “So have you had (monetary) dealings with him involving
dirhams and deenars, which will indicate his piety?” The man said: ‘No.’ Umar
said: “Then has he been your companion upon a journey which could indicate to
you his good character?” The man said: ‘No.’ Umar said: “Then you do not know
him.” Then he said to the man (who bore witness): “Bring me someone who knows
you." [Reported by Al-Bayhaqi and classed as Sahih by Al-Albani in Irwaa'
Al-Ghaleel; 2637]
Money is a fitnah
- it's when you do business with him that you
know him or if you travel with him
- that’s when you will see his true colours
Rasul (ﷺ) said
A man without trust is a man without faith. And
a man who does not fulfill his promises is a man without faith. HADITH OF AHMAD
IBN HANBAL. ON THE AUTHORITY OF ANAS IBN MALIK
-if we can’t trust you, you have no Deen
-a man without trust is a man without faith
Hudhayfah (RA) narrated: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)
related to us two ahadith one of which I have seen take place and I await the
other to happen. He said to us, “Faith came down deep into the roots of men’s
hearts. Then the Qur’an descended, so they learnt from the Qur’an and they
learnt from the Sunnah (the right of faith).” After that he told us about
withdrawal of trust (faith). He said, “A man will sleep and faith will be
withdrawn from his heart leaving its mark like a speckle. He will sleep again
and faith will be withdrawn leaving a mark like if a live coal dropped on your
foot causing a water blister with nothing in it.” Then, he picked up a pebble
and dropped it on his foot. He said, “People will transact business with each
other but there would hardly be one who honours his commitment, so that it
would be said that among such-and-such tribe there is a man worth trusting, and
a man will be praised as wise, very good and firm, though he will not have in
his heart even so much faith as a grain of mustard seed.” Indeed I had gone
through the times when I bought and sold without hesitation. If a Muslim had to
pay me my right then he came there himself to hand it over to me. If right he
was a Jew or Christian, their chiefs got for me my rights. But, now-a-days, I
do not deal with anyone though so-and-so and so-and-so do make transactions.
[al-Bukhari (6497) and Muslim (143)]
One of the signs of the last days is that Amaanah will be lifted up
- this is so prevalent and rife in the Ummah,
that even the Shaikhs have become dodgy
- they pass dodgy fatwas
-e.g. Yusuf Qaradawi said you can join the army
THE NOTORIOUS FATWA OF YUSUF QARADAWI:
http://forums.islamicawakening.com/f20/the-notorious-fatwaa-of-yusuf-qaradawi-16289/
- Al Fawzani said the greatest jihad is to fight
the Mujahideen, this is a Saudi Salafi fatwa
SHAIKH FAWZAAN CLAIMS THE GREATEST JIHAD IS TO KILL MUJAHIDEEN:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wwJPZTDJw8
SATANIC FATWA OF BIN BAAZ:
http://millatibraheem.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/satanic-fatwa-of-bin-baz-and-some-remarks/
- they are so evil, Salah behind them is baatil
- When this was passed there was no hujjah given, he used his Aql (intellect)
No one will be left on earth to be trusted
- that is why many sisters are single
- there is no trust, even though the rasul (ﷺ) said
there is no Deen without trust
Hamza Yusuf said those fighter fighters on September 11 died as Shaheeds
- all those chat rooms inviting to jahannam and
some of you go there and claim you were curious
- this is the excuse of the munafiq, it is haraam to go to the chat rooms of
the hypocrite
- Allah said it is haraam to sit where His Deen is ridiculed
- see 4:140
And it has already been revealed to you in the
Book (this Qur'an) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and
mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that;
(but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them.
Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in
Hell, (An-Nisa 4:140)
This ayah tells you it is haraam to go to these
chat rooms
-because you are not allowed to sit with people that mock the Deen
-if you do so you will be like them
All the munafiqeen have Paltalk rooms
- inviting the Muslim youths to jahannam
- even the Goofy Soofis have rooms and they give their walaa to the crusaders
Soofism is a religion of its own, like Qadiyaani
- you are not allowed to call them Ahmedis, this
is another name of Prophet Muhammad
- they came from Qaadiyan, a city they claim to be holier than Makkah
- these people believe that Ghulam Ahmad is another prophet after Muhammad (ﷺ)
Are you
trustworthy?
- do you copy and paste your conversation with
other people?
- I told someone not to talk to people when he/she comes here, this will avoid
backbiting and slandering
- Do you make indecent proposals to your friend's wives? because some people do
that
- Can we trust you with our money? Our families?
Allah entrusted us to establish Shariah, have we
done this?
- see 33:72
Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (the trust or
moral responsibility or honesty and all the duties which Allah has ordained) to
the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and
were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah's Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he
was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results). (Al-Ahzab 33:72)
- You conspire against the Shariah instead!
- This Amanah was given to the mountains and they refused
- but man tried to do so, but failed miserably, not only did you refuse to
implement it
- you conspire against it
- Claiming to dismantle it is a minor kufr
Say (O Muhammad ﷺ to
the people of the Scripture): "Shall I inform you of something worse than
that, regarding the recompense from Allah: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse
of Allah and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and
swines, those who worshipped Taghût (false deities); such are worse in rank (on
the Day of Resurrection in the Hellfire), and far more astray from the Right
Path (in the life of this world)." (Al-Ma'idah 5:60)
- Allah turned the Jews into apes and swine,
when they broke the Sabbath
- are you saying Allah was over reacting?
- These people are mad Madkhalis
Then you incite people against the Mujahideen
- instead of supporting them you pass dodgy
fatwas against them
Amaanah is the greatest thing you can have on your CV
- prophet Yusuf was able to get the portfolio of
Minister of finance of Egypt because he was trustworthy
- he gained this because he turned down Zulaika
- that if he could turn her down, then he could be trusted
Also the story of Moses and the Lady
-he lowered his gaze when he was going with her
and the girl used Firasa to know he is trustworthy
So if you are in the presence of a woman she can tell if you are trustworthy
or not
- can you imagine being with your wife and
looking at every woman? She will ask for a divorce!
The story of rasul (ﷺ) was called the
truthful the trustworthy, long before he became a prophet
- when he gathered Quraish and asked them,
- if he said an army has gathered behind the mountain, will they believe, they
said they will believe him
-and then he invited them to Islam, as the people were contemplating
- Abu Lahab spoke against rasul, saying: is this why you have gathered us here
- and as a result the surah 111:1-4 was revealed
Perish the two hands of Abû Lahab (an uncle of
the Prophet), and perish he! (1) His wealth and his children (etc.) will not
benefit him! (2) He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! (3) And his wife
too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the
Prophet (Peace be upon him) , or use to slander him). (4) In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre).
(Al-Masad 111:1-5)
Why was he able to bring the whole of Arabian Peninsula under Islam in 23
years?
- the Kuffaar said he was the most successful
leader, this is because he was trustworthy
The best thing on your CV is not how fast you can use Microsoft Word
- the best you can have is trustworthy
- they will make you a manager or at least an assistant manager
When Yusuf came out of prison he didn’t have experience for the job
- but he was given the job because he was
trustworthy
Many people lose their jobs because everywhere they go, they steal
- and when asked why they steal, they claim the
job is not paying them enough
- so they have to steal to make ends meet
5TH TRAIT: TO CONTROL YOUR TONGUE
Narrated By Sahl bin Sa'd:
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is
between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and
his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8,
Book 76, Hadith #481]
- rasul said what will take you to hell most is
bad habit of your tongue
- the real Muslim is the one the people are safe from his hand and tongue
Narrated By 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue and hands.
And a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who gives up (abandons) all what Allah has
forbidden." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 2, Hadith #009]
THE TWELVE CRIMES OF THE TONGUE
1. BACKBITTING
- to speak bad about someone behind his back but
what you said is true
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as
saying: Do you know what is backbiting? They (the Companions) said: Allah and
His Messenger know best. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Backbiting
implies Your talking about your brother in a manner which he does not like. It was
said to him: What is your opinion about this that if I actually find (that
failing) in my brother which I made a mention of? He said: If (that failing) is
actually found (in him) what you assert, you in fact backbited him, and if that
is not in him it is a slander. [Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith #6265]
2. SLANDERING
- to speak bad about someone behind his back and
what you said was a lie
- Slandering is worst than backbiting
- many of you backbite and slander
- Allah spoke about them in Surah 104
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. (1) Who
has gathered wealth and counted it, (2) He thinks that his wealth will make him
last forever! (3) Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. (4) And
what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? (5) The fire of Allah,
kindled, (6) Which leaps up over the hearts, (7) Verily, it shall be closed in
on them, (8) In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire
with pillars, etc.).(9) (Al-Humuzah 104:1-9)
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet (ﷺ),
said, "Avoid the seven fatal sins." They said, "Messenger of
Allah, what are they?" He said, "Associating with Allah, sorcery,
killing a soul which Allah has forbidden, except by legal right, consuming
usury, consuming the property of an orphan, fleeing on the day of battle and
slandering unthinking chaste believing women." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
- Quraish used to tell the people not to listen
to a man
- they will meet in Makkah during hajj
- so Allah revealed the ayat
3. TO SPEAK KUFR
- the Christians do this by saying holy Mary
mother of god
- the Shi’ites are also guilty of insulting Allah
SHIA HUJJAH: “Allah often lies and does mistakes”
[Usool-al-Kafi, page 328, Yacoob Kulayni, Vol. 1]
- many Sunnis don’t know this, but that’s what they
say, that’s a statement of kufr
- the MADkhalis also speak kufr by believing to dismantle the Shariah is minor
kufr
- the Jews did this by saying Allah is poor but they are rich
Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those
(Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!" We shall
record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We
shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)." (Aali Imran
3:181)
- the Christians say Allah Begets a son
- Allah said, how can I when I don’t have a consort
He is the Originator of the heavens and the
earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and
He is the All-Knower of everything. (Al-An'am 6:101)
- claiming Democracy is Islamic is another kufr
And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them
gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away
from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for
them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put
your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).
(Aali Imran 3:159)
- the Ikhwanul Muslimeen (the Muslim brotherhood) in Egypt and Tunisia believe in this
- In the Shura we refer the matter to Quran and Sunnah when we differ
- but in democracy it is the majority
- claiming Allah is everywhere is another kufr
He it is Who created for you all that is on earth. Then He Istawā (rose over) towards the heaven and made them seven heavens and He is the All-Knower of everything. (Al-Baqarah 2:29)
Abu Haneefah (rh) said, when asked of his opinion of the one who says, ‘I do not know whether Allah is above the heavens or on the earth.’ “He has disbelieved, because Allah says, “The Most Merciful rose above the Throne,” and His Throne is above His seven heavens.’ He was then asked, ‘what if he said that Allah is above His Throne but he does not know whether the Throne is in the heavens or on the earth?’ He said, ‘He has disbelieved, because He has denied that He is above the heavens, And whosoever denied that He is above the heavens has disbelieved.” (‘Sharh Usul I'tiqaad Ahlus Sunnah’ of al-Laalikaaee (d.414AH), ‘al-Uluww’ of adh- Dhahabee, also ‘Sharh Aqeedah at-Tahaawiyyah’ of ibn Abee al-Izz al-Hanafee)
-and they claim they follow Abu Haneefa, but Abu Haneefa made takfeer on people with such belief
-because it is kufr
4. SHIRK
- Shirk is another crime of the tongue to ascribe partners with Allah
Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. (Al-Ma'idah 5:73)
- Allah called the people that believe in the trinity to be kuffaar
- they gathered at the counsel of Nicaea in 325 AD and delivered Christianity in a new package
- to describe Allah with human qualities is shirk
- to say Allah wrestled with prophet Yaqub is shirk
(Genesis 32:24-28) King James Version
24. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
-and that He rested on the seventh day is also shirk
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (Genesis 2:2) King James Version
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Genesis 2:3) King James Version
5. TALE BEARING
- they carry news backwards and forwards for Muslims to fight
It is reported from Hudhaifa that news reached him (the Holy Prophet) that a certain man carried tales. Upon this Hudhaifa remarked: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: "The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise." [Al-Bukhari (6056) and Muslim (189)]
- You can lie to make two Muslims love each other, this is the best tale bearing
...Ibn Shihab said he did not hear that exemption was granted in anything what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the words of the husband to his wife, and the narration of the words of a wife to her husband (in a twisted form in order to bring reconciliation between them). [Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith #6303]
Narrated By Ibn Abbas the Prophet (ﷺ) once passed by two graves, and those two persons (in the graves) were being tortured. He said, "They are being tortured not for a great thing (to avoid). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other was going about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends). He then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree split it into two pieces and fixed one on each grave. The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Why have you done so?" He replied, "I hope that their punishment may be lessened till they (the leaf) become dry." (Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Book 23, Hadith #443)
- so many people are divorced because of nammaam (tale bearing)
- The Sun newspaper is a wreck, only people who like gossip will read it
- most people like to listen to gossip, the majority of the people are scumbags
- descent people are few
- Allah said the majority of the people will always be evil
And if you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you far away from Allah's Path. They follow nothing but conjectures, and they do nothing but lie. (Al-An'am 6:116)
6. BLACKMAILING
- to let out a secret when you didn’t get what you want
- somebody put the naked body of another person in another person's picture
- they superimposed the pictures
- and the person was asked for a huge sum of money, in order not to post it
- this is blackmail, that is how evil people are
- or to put poison in food in the supermarket and ask them for money or you will inject poison in the food
- especially in baby food
- blackmailing is a crime
- Your tongue and private parts will cause you to go to hellfire most
- if you safeguard these two, you will be guaranteed paradise
Narrated By Sahl bin Sa'd: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith #481]
7. RIDICULING (NAME CALLING, NICKNAME)
- it is called sneer, smear and jeer
- Allah told you not to do this
O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former; nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former, nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it, to insult one's brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: "O sinner", or "O wicked", etc.]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zalimûn (wrong-doers, etc.). (Al-Hujurat 49:11)
When I was about 11 in Jamaica, a man got choked and everybody call him hotdog
- and when you oppose the name it sticks
- if you ignore it then it won’t
- it is not Islamic to call people names like that
You are not allowed to call people offensive names
- the rasul called Abu Huraira (father of kitten) but he did not mind
- and he also called Ali, Abu Turab (father of sand) because one time he was in the sand and got stained
- to call a fat person nicknames is not allowed
8. CHARACTER ASSASINATION
- this is when you spread rumours about somebody in the community that is not true
- the munafiqeen did this to Aisha
Verily! Those who brought forth the slander (against 'Aishah the wife of the Prophet ﷺ) are a group among you. Consider it not a bad thing for you. Nay, it is good for you. Unto every man among them will be paid that which he had earned of the sin, and as for him among them who had the greater share therein, his will be a great torment. (An-Nur 24:11)
- Allah said it is good for you when they slander you because they will give you their pious deeds
- or take away your sins, so this is an investment
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet (ﷺ), said, "Avoid the seven fatal sins." They said, "Messenger of Allah, what are they?" He said, "Associating with Allah, sorcery, killing a soul which Allah has forbidden, except by legal right, consuming usury, consuming the property of an orphan, fleeing on the day of battle and slandering unthinking chaste believing women." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
- the person you assassinated his character, will take your good deeds
- Hassan Al Basri gave a basket of fruits to a man that used to slander his name
- this is because he was giving him his good deeds
- this is so prevalent in the community, they assassinate your character because they are jealous of you
9. APOSTASY (RIDDAH)
- if you say Muhammad (ﷺ) was a false prophet you become a kaafir, even if you were joking
- and if you doubt this person is a kaafir or you refuse to make takfeer on him
- you become a kaafir too, this is called CHAIN TAKFEER
10. ZANDAQA
- this is when you make up your own religion
- like when Luis Farrakhan said Elijah Pole is a prophet after Muhammad
-they also fast in December, this is all Zandaqa (heresy)
-and the person that practises it is called a Zindeeq (heretic)
-it is called HISLAM
11. INSULT
- to say to a person to get lost, to speak to a person in such a way you put him down
-and it is worst when done in front of people, proud people like to do this most
12. BLASPHEMY
- to speak ill of holy things i.e Allah, the Messenger or Qur'an
- when Harun Ar Rasheed was the caliph, some Christians insulted the prophet
- and the scholars asked him to give them 80 lashes
- but he consulted Imam Malik who got very upset and said their punishment is death
Ibn Taymiyya wrote a book 'THE DRAWN SWORD AGAINST PEOPLE WHO INSULT THE RASUL'
- it is a masterpiece and when you insult 3 things your head is gone
i. Allah
ii. His rasul
iii. Qur'an
- When you make tauba (repentance) it is between you and Allah
- even those that committed Zina and make tauba are killed
- The only time you are forgiven is if you run after making the blasphemy and then hand yourself in
- then the Qaadi can exercise leniency, but if we catch you before you hand over yourself in
- then the Qaadi can’t exercise leniency, these are the rulings
- another zandaqa is that a ship will come to carry all the black people to paradise
- this is the Aqeedah of the nation of Islam, they call the ship, “A mercy ship”
THE MERCY SHIP: http://www.adl.org/hate-patrol/njs/noi.asp
- they also say that the white man was created in a science lab by a mad scientist called Yaqub
MAD SCIENTIST YAKUB: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakub_(Nation_of_Islam)
- and Allah told you that you can’t create even a housefly
O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily! Those on whom you call besides Allah, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatched away a thing from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought. (Al-Hajj 22:73)
6TH TRAIT: SINCERITY
- this is when you are true to your belief and your actions match your words
- you are not allowed to change to suit the crowd
- the Soofis say man can become Allah by making Zikr
- your stance has to be Qur'an and Sunnah
- don’t change your speech to suit the crowd, take a stance and stick to it
- don’t be a politician, we call it poli-tricks
- He keeps changing his tune
- when he is with the Jews he says Shalom, when with the gay, he supports them etc
- You are a daa’e (caller to Islam), not a politician, these people are munafiqs
- but you are a daa'e and your stance is Qur'an and Sunnah
- That is the haqq and what comes after it is dalal
- If you preach against adultery, gambling you can’t do these things
- see 2:44
Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? (Al-Baqarah 2:44)
- do you preach to enjoin good and do what is different yourself?
- also see 61:2-3
O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? (2) Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do.(3) (As-Saff 61:2-3)
- You preach against alcohol and drink it
- you have to be the walking Qur'an, for your dawah to be successful
- don’t let your enemies laugh at you, the hypocrites want you to slip, so that they will laugh at you
- this is because they are jealous of your Deen
- you are practising, but they are not, they wish they were practising
- but Allah did not give them the Tawfiq
- your protection against these is your sincerity
- Allah said the best provision is Taqwa and take it with you on a journey
-Whenever you are on a journey take provisions and taqwa is the best provision
- see 2:197
…And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness, etc.). So fear Me, O men of understanding! (Al-Baqarah 2:197)
