Dua the weapon of the Believer Part 1 [note]

 DUA THE WEAPON OF THE BELIEVER

JULY 20-21 2014 - 22-23 RAMADAN 1435 HIJRI

DARS ONE

What is the definition of Du'aa (Supplication)?

- To ask Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)) for something.

- That is called a Du'aa.

- That is the definition of Du'aa.

- There is no doubt that Du'aa is the weapon of the believer.

- Du'aa is an act of worship.

- You are not allowed to offer your dua to anyone except Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ).

Nu’man ibn Bashir (RA) narrated the Prophet () said, “The supplication is itself worship.” Then he recited. And your Lord says, “Call upon Me, and I shall answer you. Surely those who are too arrogant to worship Me, they shall enter Hell, disgraced.” (40: 60) [Tirmidhi (5/456) No. 3372, Abu Dawud (2/76) No. 1479, Ibn Majah (5/5) No. 3828, Ahmad (4/271) No. 18410]

- Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) refers to those who offer Dua'a to other than Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) as kaafirs.

- Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) labelled them as liars and kaafirs.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) said in the Qur'an surah Az Zumar verse 3

Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say) : "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. (Az-Zumar 39:3)

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) told us in the Quran that those who pray to the graves are worshipping the graves.

- There should be no doubt in your heart that they are kaafirs.

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad SAW) like Him Who is the All-Knower (of each and everything). (Fatir 35:14)

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says on Judgement Day they are going to deny them.

- They will deny their worshipping of them on the Day of Judgement.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah () said, "O Allah! Do not make my grave an idol that is worshipped. The anger on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible." [Muwatta Malik (1/223) No. 570, Musannaf Abdur Razzaq (1/406) No. 1587, Musnad Ahmad (2/246) No. 7352]

- The prophet () said the grave is an idol that people worship.

- The reason why, this lecture is called Dua, the weapon of he believer, because Du'aa changes Qadr.

"Nothing could change the Qadar except Du`a’." (Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 5, Hadith no. 277; Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Vol. 3, Hadith no. 139)

It was narrated from Thawban that the Messenger of Allah () said: "Nothing increases one's life span except righteousness and nothing repels the Divine decree except supplication, and a man may be deprived of provision by a sin that he commits."' [Sunan Ibn Majah (5/152) No. 4022, Musnad Ahmad (5/277) No. 22440, Mustadrak al-Haakim (1/670) No. 1814, Sahih Ibn Hibban (3/153) No. 872, al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (10/380) No. 11775]

- Another reason why this lecture is called The Dua is the weapon of he believer, is because the prophet () said that dua is the noblest deed one can perform.

- The third reason is because whenever you make a dua Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) gives you one of three things:

It was narrated from Abu Saeed (RA) that the Prophet () said: “There is no Muslim who does not offer any Dua in which there is no sin or severing of family ties but Allah will give him one of three things in return: either He will answer his Dua sooner, or he will store it up for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an equivalent evil away from him because of it.” They said: “We will say a lot of Dua.” The Prophet () said: “Allah is more generous.”

[Musnad Ahmad (3/1 No. 11149, Mustadrak al-Haakim (1/670) No. 1816, Adaab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari (1/264) No. 710, Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaiba (10/201) No. 29780, Musnad Abi Ya'la (2/296) No. 1019, al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (4/337) No. 4368]

Abu Hurairah narrated that: The Prophet  said: “There is nothing more honorable with Allah [Most High] than supplication.”{Jami At Tirmidh: Book 48 Hadith 1 & Tirmidh: Volume: 6 Book 45 Hadith 3370}

- If you make 1000 dua Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) will answer them.

- Why does Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) like dua?

- Because you need Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)

- You are expressing your weakness and tawwakul.

- You are showing that you believe Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) exists.

- You are showing that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)) is the most merciful.

- It shows you believe that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is kind.

- If you beg Him to forgive your sins you show that you believe that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is the all merciful.

“Whoever does not call on Allaah, Allaah will be angry with him.” (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, Kitaab al-Da’waat, 1/426; classed as hasan in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 2686).

On the authority of Anas (RA), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah () say: "Allah the Almighty said: 'O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. [At-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound]

- The munafiqun do not make dua.

- They say Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and His rasool only make false promises.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Ahzab verse 12

And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubts) said: "Allah and His Messenger () promised us nothing but delusions!" (Al-Ahzab 33:12)

- Hypocrites today say paradise and hell are just a myth.

-They are the same now as they were before, they are found everywhere.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) likes when you call upon Him and ask for forgiveness.

HADITH QUDSI 34

On the authority of Anas (RA), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah () say: "Allah the Almighty said: 'O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. [At-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger  having said: “By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.” [Sahih Muslim (4/2106) No. 2749]

- People in Nigeria the city of zania were shocked when shaikh quoted above hadith.

Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah verse 186

And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright. (Al-Baqarah 2:186)

Allah  (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) said in the Qur'an Surah Ra'd verse 39

Allah blots out what He wills and confirms (what He wills). And with Him is the Mother of the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz) (Ra'd 13:39)

- The tafsir of this verse is your dua wipes out calamities that are written to befall you.

- There is no other tafsir.

- Your dua is so powerful it changes qadr and nothing else can change qadr.

THE BEST TIMES TO MAKE DUA:

1) THE LAST THIRD OF THE NIGHT

35 Hadith Qudsi

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah () said: Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him? {It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud). In a version by Muslim the Hadith ends with the words: And thus He continues till [the light of] dawn shines.}

2) WHEN YOU ARE IN SAJDA

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Messenger of Allah () said: "The closest that a person can be to his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime, is when he is prostrating, so increase in supplication then." {Sunan an Nasa'i: Book 12 Hadith 109 & An Nasa'i: Volume 2 Book 12 Hadith 1138}

Can you make Dua'a in English In Sajdah?

- This is only allowed in the Sunnah prayers not in Fard prayers.

3) THE DAY OF JUMA'AH

The most authentic of these is where Jâbir relates that the Prophet (صلى ا عليه وسلم) said: “Friday is comprised of twelve hours. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last hour after `Asr.” [Sunan Abî Dâwûd (1048), Sunan al-Nasâ’î (1389) and Mustadrak al-Hâkim (1032)]

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى ا عليه وسلم) talked about Friday and said: 'There is an hour on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while offering Salat (prayer) and asks something from Allah (SWT), then Allah (SWT) will definitely meet his demand.' And he (the Prophet (صلى ا عليه وسلم) pointed out the shortness of that particular time with his hands. [Sahih al-Bukhari: Volume 2 Book 13 Hadith 57] & (Bukhari: Vol: 2 Book 11 chapter 36  (935) & Book 11 Hadith 59}

Some have said that this hour is from the time the Imam (prayer’s leader) enters the mosque on Friday’s prayer until the prayer is over (i.e. between the two khutbahs), whereas others have said that it is the last hour of the day (ie after the Asr prayer until the Maghreb prayer).

Allah knows best

4) THE DAY OF ARAFAT

Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his father who from his grandfather that the Prophet (صلى ا عليه وسلم) said, “The best of supplication is the supplication on the day of Arafah. And the best of what I said - I and the Prophets before me is: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ "Laa ilaaha ill Allah waHdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul Hamdu wahuwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in qadeer" (There is no God but Allah Who is Alone. He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise and He is over all things powerful). [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/572) No. 3585]

- The day of Eid is 10 dhul hijra.

5) BETWEEN THE ADHAN AND THE IQAAMAH

It was narrated that 'Uqbah bin 'Amir said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى ا عليه وسلم) say: 'Your Lord is pleased with a shepherd high in the mountains who calls the Adhan for the prayer and prays. Allah says: 'Look at this slave of Mine; he calls the Adhan and Iqamah for the prayer and fears Me. I have forgiven My slave and admitted him to Paradise.'" [Sunan al-Nasa'i (2/20) No. 666]

Anas (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (صلى ا عليه وسلم) said: 'A supplication made between the Adhan and Iqama is not rejected.'[Ahmad, abu Dawud #521, at-Tirmidhi #212, Sahih al-Jami #3408, an-Nasai and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (sound)]

6) WHEN DRINKING ZAM ZAM

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah () say: ‘The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for.’” {Sunan Ibn Majah Volume: 1 Book 25 Hadith 3062 & Book 25 Hadith 3178} & Ahmad Vol: 3 Hadith 357}

- This means that when you drink Zamzam water you may ask Allah (للهُ سبحانه وتعالى) for anything you like to gain or benefit from this water such as healing from illness. etc

- The hadith that says that when you love Zam Zam you are free from hypocrisy.

- This Hadith is fabricated.

- A weak Hadith can be used to encourage you.

FABRICATED: "Drinking one's fill of Zamzam water is a sign of being free of hypocrisy." [Mawdoo (Fabricated), Silsilah-Daeefah No. 2682]

7) AT THE END OF YOUR FARD PRAYERS

1500. Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (صلى ا عليه وسلم) was asked: "At what time does the supplication find the greatest response?'' He (صلى ا عليه وسلم) replied, "A supplication made during the middle of the last part of the night and after the conclusion of the obligatory prayers.''[At-Tirmidhi] & (Riyadh Us Saleheen: Chapter 252 Hadith 1500)

This time is after saying 'At-tahyat', and before making Tasleem (finishing prayer)

- If you pray behind the imams of Makkah and Madina they will never make a dua after the tasleem.

8) DURING THE NIGHT OF LAYATUL QADR

Allah صلى ا عليه وسلم said in the Qur'an Surah Qadr verse 1 to 3

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? This night is the greatest night of the year. This is the night which the almighty Allah (اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى) said about it, "The night of Al-Qadar (Decree) is better than a thousand months." [Surah Al-Qadr, 97: 1-3]

-Maybe you were not hopeful when you made the dua

- A believer should be positive when he asks Allah (اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى) for something, therefore he should not say insha Allah in his dua.

- He should say O Allah للهُ سبحانه وتعالى forgive me of my sins with a positive tone.

- However he is not allowed to say, O Allah forgive me of my sins insha Allah.

- The words insha Allah للهُ سبحانه وتعالى should not be used in a dua because a believer is required to be jazm, positive in his dua.

9) DURING THE RAIN

Narrated Sahel Ibn Sa'ad (RA): that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Two will not be rejected, Supplication when the Adhan (call of prayer) is being called, and at the time of the rain'. [Al-Hakim 2: 114, and Abu Dawud #2540, Ibn Majah]

10) WHEN YOU ARE OPPRESSED

Narrated By Ibn Abbas: The Prophet sent Mu'adh to Yemen and said, "Fear the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah" [Al-Bukhari (1496) and Muslim (19)]

11) WHILE YOU ARE A TRAVELLER

Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger said, "Three prayers are surely answered: the supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveller, and the supplication of the father for his son." [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/502) No. 3448, Sunan Ibn Majah (5/30) No. 3862, Musnad Ahmad (2/25  No. 7501, Sunan Abu Dawud (2/89) No. 1536]

12) THE PARENT FOR THE CHILD

13) IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TASHA'HHUD

“Allaahumma innee a’oodhu bika min sharri maa ‘amiltu wa min sharri maa lam a’mal (O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done and the evil of what I have not done).”“Allaahumma haasibni hisaaban yaseeran (O Allaah, make my accounting easy).”

Amr bin Malik Al-Janbi narrated that he heard Fadalah bin Ubaid saying: “The Prophet وسلم عليه ا صلى heard a man supplicating in his Salat but he did not send Salat upon the Prophet, so the Prophet وسلم عليه ا صلى said: ‘This one has rushed.’ Then he called him and said to him or to someone othat than him: ‘When one of you performs Salat, then let him begin by expressing gratitude to Allah and praising Him. Then, let him send Salat upon the Prophet وسلم عليه ا صلى, then let him supplicate after that, whatever he wishes.’”[Abu Dawud: (1481) Book 8 Hadith 1476 & (Book 8 Hadith 66), At-Tirmidhi: Volume 6 Book 45 Hadith #3477]

- When the prophet (وسلم عليه ا صلى) said let him send peace and blessings on the prophet he was talking about tasha'hhud; that you should make it after.

14) DURING THE MONTH OF RAMADAN

The prophet (وسلم عليه ا صلى) declared, 'Three men whose dua is never rejected (by Allah) are: when a fasting person breaks fast (in another narration, the fasting person until he breaks his fast), the just ruler and the one who is oppressed.'[Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi - Hasan]

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin ‘As that the Messenger of Allah () said: “When the fasting person breaks his fast, his supplication is not turned back.” {Sunan Ibn Majah: Volume: 1 Book 7 Hadith 1753 & Book 7 Hadith 1825}

15) WHEN THE TWO ARMIES COME FACE TO FACE

Allah (اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah verse 286

Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people." (Al-Baqarah 2:286)

Narrated Sahl ibn Sa'd: The Prophet () said: Two (prayers) are not rejected, or seldom rejected: Prayer at the time of the call to prayer, and (the prayer) at the time of fighting, when the people grapple with each other. Musa said: Rizq ibn Sa'id ibn Abdur Rahman reported from AbuHazim on the authority of Sahl ibn Sa'd from the Prophet () as saying: And while it is raining. {Sunan Abu Dawud: (2540) & Sunan Abu Dawud: Book 14, Hadith 2534} & (Book 15 Hadith 64)}

It (Ramadhan) is the month, whose beginning is mercy, its middle, forgiveness and its end, emancipation from the fire (of hell) {Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.: 93, Pg.: 342}

16) A FASTING PERSON WHEN HE IS BREAKING HIS FAST

The prophet (وسلم عليه ا صلى) declared, 'Three men whose dua is never rejected (by Allah) are: when a fasting person breaks fast (in another narration, the fasting person until he breaks his fast), the just ruler and the one who is oppressed.'[Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi - Hasan]

17) THE DUA OF A PIOUS CHILD WHO IS GOOD TO THEIR PARENTS

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: I heard Allah's Apostleوسلم عليه ا صلى saying, "Three men from among those who were before you, set out together till they reached a cave at night and entered it. A big rock rolled down the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said (to each other), Nothing could save you Tom this rock but to invoke Allah by giving referenda to the righteous deed which you have done (for Allah's sake only).' So, one of them said, 'O Allah! I had old parents and I never provided my family (wife, children etc.) with milk before them. One day, by chance I was delayed, and I came late (at night) while they had slept. I milked the sheep for them and took the milk to them, but I found them sleeping. I disliked providing my family with the milk before them. I waited for them and the bowl of milk was in my hand and I kept on waiting for them to get up till the day dawned. Then they got up and drank the milk. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only, please relieve us from our critical situation caused by this rock.' So, the rock shifted a little but they could not get out."

The Prophet وسلم عليه ا صلى added, "The second man said, 'O Allah! I had a cousin who was the dearest of all people to me and I wanted to have sexual relations with her but she refused. Later she had a hard time in a famine year and she came to me and I gave her one-hundred-and-twenty Dinars on the condition that she would not resist my desire, and she agreed. When I was about to fulfil my desire, she said: It is illegal for you to outrage my chastity except by legitimate marriage. So, I thought it a sin to have sexual intercourse with her and left her though she was the dearest of all the people to me, and also I left the gold I had given her. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only, please relieve us from the present calamity.' So, the rock shifted a little more but still they could not get out from there."

The Prophet وسلم عليه ا صلى added, "Then the third man said, 'O Allah! I employed few labourers and I paid them their wages with the exception of one man who did not take his wages and went away. I invested his wages and I got much property thereby. (Then after some time) he came and said to me: O Allah's slave! Pay me my wages. I said to him: All the camels, cows, sheep and slaves you see, are yours. He said: O Allah's slave! Don't mock at me. I said: I am not mocking at you. So, he took all the herd and drove them away and left nothing. O Allah! If I did that for Your Sake only, please relieve us from the present suffering.' So, that rock shifted completely and they got out walking. {Sahih Al Bukhari: Volume: 3 Book 36 Hadith 472}

- Because I looked after my parents....

18) AFTER MAKING WUDU

Umar ibn al-khattab reported that the prophet (وسلم عليه ا صلى) said: 'there is not one of you that makes wudu, and does it perfectly, then says: I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. he is alone, having no partners. and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and messenger', except that the eight gates of paradise are opened for him, and he can enter into it through whichever one he pleases' [Muslim #234, Abu Dawud #162, Ahmad, An-Nasa'i]

19) WHEN THE ROOSTER CROWS

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet وسلم عليه ا صلى  said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan." [Sahih al-Bukhari Volume; 4 Book 54 Hadith: 522 & Muslim: Book 48 Hadith 112 & Book 35 Chapter 19 Hadith 6581 ]

20) WHEN ENTERING THE MASJID

When entering the mosque. If a person enters the mosque after Fajr prayer or after ‘Asr prayer, he should not sit down until he has prayed two rak’ahs, because there is a reason for this prayer.

O Allah, open for me the doors Your Mercy. (Muslim)

Ismail bin Ibrahim (a narrator in the chain of Hadith no. 314) said: "I met Abdullah bin al Husain in Makkah, so I asked him about this Hadith, so he narrated it to me, he said: 'When Allah's Messenger entered, he said (Rabbi aftahli abwaba rahmatik) 'O Lord, open the gates of Your mercy for me.' And when he exited he said: (Rabbi iftahli abwaba fadlik) 'O Lord, open the gates of Your blessings for me.'"{Jami At Tirmidhi: Book 2 Hadith 167 & Tirmidhi: Vol; 1 Book 2 Hadith 315}

Narrated Abu Qatada Al-Aslami: Allah's Messenger () said, "If anyone of you enters a mosque, he should pray two rak`at before sitting." {Sahih Al Bukhari: (444) & Sahih AL Bukhari: Vol: 1 Book 8 Hadith 435}

It was narrated that Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah said:" Whenever the Messenger of Allah entered the mosque he would say: 'Bismillah, was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah, Allahummagh-firli dhunubi waftah li abwaba rahmatika. (In the Name of Allah, and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive me my sins and open to me the gates of Your mercy).' When he left he would say: 'Bismillah, was-salamu 'ala Rasulillah, Allahummagh-firli dhunubi waftah li abwaba fadlika. (In the Name of Allah, and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive me my sins and open to me the gates of Your bounty).'" {[Sunan Ibn Majah Book 4, Hadith 37] (Da'if) & (Sunan Ibn Majah Vol: 1 Book 4 Hadith 771} & (Muslim: Book 4 Chapter 104 Hadith: 1538) & Muslim: Book 6 Hadith: 82)}

Abu Usaid reported that the Messenger of Allah () said: When any one of you enters the mosque, he should say:" O Allah! open for me the doors of Thy mercy"; and when he steps out he should say: 'O Allah! I beg of Thee Thy Grace." (Imam Muslim said: I heard Yahya saying: I transcribed this hadith from the compilation of Sulaiman b. Bilal.) [Muslim:  Book 6, Hadith 82] & (Muslim: Book:  4 Chapter 104 Hadith: 1538}
