THE MERITS OF THE DAWAH Part 3

 Bismillah...

Narrated By Abu Huraira: I have memorized two kinds of knowledge from Allah's Apostle. I have propagated one of them to you and if I propagated the second, then my pharynx (throat) would be cut (i.e. killed). [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith #121]

- when you speak you speak straight to the point, else you'll jeopardise the hereafter of the people
- e.g. if a Jew or a Christian asked whether he'll go to hell, if he dies rejecting faith in Muhammad
- will go to hell? you need to tell him yes

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, any Christian or Jew who heard about me and died whilst rejecting me, such a person is in the hell fire to abide there forever. [Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Hadith #0284]

- so you are not allowed to lie in Dawah, people do this because they want to be polite
- this is not right, you need to tell them the truth

15. FACILITATE THE DEEN FOR THE PEOPLE

- give them glad tidings, don’t start off with haram and halal, start with Tauheed

Narrated By Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam)." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith #069]

“…and in it was mentioned Paradise and the Fire. When the people embraced Islam, the Verses regarding legal and illegal things were revealed. If the first thing to be revealed was: 'Do not drink alcoholic drinks.' people would have said, 'We will never leave alcoholic drinks,' and if there had been revealed, 'Do not commit illegal sexual intercourse, 'they would have said, 'We will never give up illegal sexual intercourse.' [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 6, Book 61, Hadith #515]

Narrated By Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet sent Muadh to Yemen, he said to him, "You are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tauhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of their properties and it is to be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the best property of the people." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 93, Hadith #469]

- when they love Allah then they'll obey Allah, this is the Manhaj of the rasul (ﷺ)

Narrated By 'Aisha: Whenever Allah's Apostle was given the choice of one of two matters, he would choose the easier of the two, as long as it was not sinful to do so, but if it was sinful to do so, he would not approach it...[Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 56, Hadith #760]

- if you choose the difficult way out, you are making the Deen a burden
- some do this to show off with piety
- some show off with material gains and these people show off with piety

Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him. (Al-Baqarah 2:185)

Ta¬Ha. (1) We have not sent down the Qur'an unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, (2) (Ta-Ha 20:1-2)

But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). (Ta-Ha 20:3)

- there is a mountain of evidence to refute the extremist and these people end up leaving the Deen
- you need to take a middle path in Deen, this helps you to be steadfast
- the extremist always leave Islam because the Deen is a burden on them or their kids apostate

16. DO NOT SIT WHERE ALLAH'S SIGNS ARE RIDICULED

And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'an) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell, (An-Nisa 4:140)

- many people go to dodgy rooms in Paltalk
- all the scum have rooms in Paltalk inviting people in Jahannam (hellfire)
- so it is haram for you to sit with hypocrites and curiosity is not an excuse
- your eemaan is not strong to go in there

17. DO NOT GO TO PLACES THAT ARE HARAM

- do not go to a pub, brothel
- if you are invited to a walima, in which there will be free mixing, music etc
- you should not accept this invitation but you have to accept, if these are not there

Jabir (RA) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must not send his wife to the public bath And he who believes in Allah and the Last Day, must not go to the public bath without his lower garment. And he who believes in Allah and the Last Day must not sit at the table where wine is passed round.” [Tirmidhi 2810, Ahmed 14657, Nisai 398]

Narrated By Abu Huraira: The worst food is that of a wedding banquet to which only the rich are invited while the poor are not invited. And he who refuses an invitation (to a banquet) disobeys Allah and His Apostle. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 7, Book 62, Hadith #106]

- so when you are a Da’ee, you are not allowed to be at places where haram takes place

Hamdun al-Qassar, one of the great early Muslims, said, “If a friend among your friends errs, make seventy excuses for them. If your hearts are unable to do this, then know that the shortcoming is in your own selves.” [Imam Bayhaqi, Shu`ab al-Iman, 7.522]

Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Munazil (Allah have mercy upon him), of the early Muslims, said, “The believer seeks excuses for their brethren, while the hypocrite seeks out the faults of their brethren.” [Sulami, Adab al-Suhba]

Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that Allahs Messenger (ﷺ) said “If anyone relieves a Muslims hardship in this world then Allah will remove from him a hardship of the hereafter. And if anyone conceals a Muslims fault then Allah will conceal (his fault) in the world and the hereafter. And Allah goes on helping the slave as long as the slave helps his brother. [Tirmidhi 1430, Muslim 2699, Abu Dawud 4946, Ahmed 7431]

- make excuse for your Muslim brothers and sisters
- if you see them coming from a restaurant during the afternoon of Ramadaan
- maybe they went to use the restroom because we make 70 excuses for your brother
- a Saudi Salafi won’t make an excuse for you, they call Muslims Khawaarij

18. THINK BEFORE YOU ANSWER

- when you are interviewed by fox news, know that the motive is to entrap you
- the BBC followed Shaikh all around

19. ABSTAIN FROM BECOMING ANGRY

- when you debate a kaafir, they want you to forget your hujjah
- the kaafir white and black are all evil, a kaafir tries to distract you in the debate
- they don’t mind their business

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, Teach me something but do not make it much on me perchance I might remember it. He said, “Do not lose your temper.” He repeated that often and every time he said, “Do not lose your temper". [Bukhari 6116, Muslim 2608, Tirmidhi 2027]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: "The strong-man is not one who wrestles well but the strong man is one who controls himself when he is in a fit of rage." [al-Bukhari (6114) and Muslim (2609)]

20. BE PATIENT WHEN GIVING THE DAWAH AND REMEMBER ONLY ALLAH CAN GIVE GUIDANCE

Verily! You (O Muhammad SAW) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided. (Al-Qasas 28:56)

- Only Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎.) can make Muslims, be patient because people will ask you awkward questions

"O my son! Aqim¬is¬Salat (perform As¬Salat), enjoin (people) for Al¬Ma'rûf (Islamic Monotheism and all that is good), and forbid (people) from Al¬Munkar (i.e. disbelief in the Oneness of Allah, polytheism of all kinds and all that is evil and bad), and bear with patience whatever befall you. Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allah with no exemption. (Luqman 31:17)

- Luqman was grooming his son for this and gave him advice to be a Da'ee

By Al-'Asr (the time). (1) Verily! Man is in loss, (2) Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'rûf)which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar)which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad, etc.). (3) (Al-'Asr 103:1-3)

Allah said by time all of mankind is in a state of loss
- Why did Allah say except those that have sabr?
- this is because without sabr you will throw the towel in the ring, you will give up
- so Allah said speak the truth and have sabr
- when you speak the truth you have little friends

...Allah will say (to Adam), Bring out the people of the Fire.' Adam will say, 'What (how many) are the people of the Fire?' Allah will say, 'Out of every thousand (take out) nine-hundred and ninety-nine (persons).' [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith #537]

-Allah warned you in the Surah 64:14 that among your wives and children are enemies who will stop you
-so be careful of them

O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you (i.e. may stop you from the obedience of Allah), therefore beware of them! But if you pardon (them) and overlook, and forgive (their faults), then verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (At-Taghabun 64:14)

Why did Allah reveal this ayah (64:14)?
- when the Muslims were migrating, some women told their husbands not to migrate
- even though they were prosecuted and so these men remained behind and so did not learn
- after 6-7 years they migrated and realised the sahabi memorized 1000s of hadith and the Qur'an
- and they did not do these
- so they said to their wives it is their fault, that they don’t know anything about Islam
- and they were about to beat up their wives, when Allah revealed this ayah (64:14)
- this is called Asbab an Nuzul (Causes of Revelation)

So during your Dawah you will come across low life scums
- everything haram is the norm for them
- there a TV show called Jerry Springer
- they take away the guilt for every haram i.e. homosexuality, bestiality etc
- so when you live in UK or America you become low life scums
- these are the people you inviting to Islam
- so they are going to make very annoying statements
- like: “I am a lesbian because nobody understands the body of a woman, more than a woman”
- and the gay will say “it is in my genes”

21. USE PRACTICAL EVERYDAY EXAMPLES

- use stories of the prophets
- so when they say to you it’s in their genes to be gay, tell them Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎.) destroyed the people of Lot

- so are you saying that Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎.) created them to be gay and then killed them?

- you are saying Allah is oppressive

This is because of that (evil) which your hands have sent before you. And certainly, Allah is never unjust to (His) slaves. (Aali Imran 3:182)

Allah said He has made oppression haram on Him

...“Oh, my servants! I have made oppression haraam (forbidden) upon myself, and also between you. So do not oppress each other...." [Sahih Muslim, Hadith #6246]

There are things that are haram for Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎.) to do

- He does not place a burden on you, what you can’t bear
- it is haram for Him to break his promise
- also to tell a lie

SHIA HUJJAH: “Allah often lies and does mistakes” [Usool-al-Kafi, page 328, Yacoob Kulayni, Vol. 1]

- and they have death squads against the Sunnis

All the Imams are infallible just like the prophets. The Shia derives their religion from their immaculate (infallible) Imams" (Usool al Kafi, p. 22)

The Shia believe that at the time of Mahdi’s return Imam Mahdi will resurrect Aisha (Prophet Mohammad’s wife) and execute the law of Hudud on her, for committing Zina (adultery) during her marriage. - they also believe Allah (سبحانه و تعالى‎.) lied for Aisha

- and that their Mahdi will punish her when he comes for committing zina!
- these people are worst than the Jews

The Americans are trying to stop the massacre of Sunnis in Syria, even the Jews condemn it!
- there is no good in a Shia, they are evil personified
- even Shimon Peres condemned the massacre

But if they repent, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know. (At-Tawbah 9:11)

- because there is no Shariah in the society, every minute a car is stolen, why?

22. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SAY: "I DON’T KNOW"

- it proves you are sincere, you did not give your own opinion
- half of knowledge is to say I don’t know

Al-Haytham bin Jamil said: "I heard Malik bin Anas being asked forty eight questions, to thirty-two of which he replied: ‘I do not know.’ [Tarikh al-Abi Ziraa al-Dimashqi, Vol.1, pg. 49, no. 995]

Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawahish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allah for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge." (Al-A'raf 7:33)

- a quarter of the world is Muslim, for a kaafir to get the haqq is very easy, they have Muslim associates

23. SHUN CONTROVERSIAL TOPICS

- i.e. Shariah e.g. killing the homosexuals, having four wives, chopping of the hands etc

There is a difference of opinion concerning the punishment for the one who commits sodomy. The following are the opinions that were mentioned by Imam Ash-Shawkani in "Nayl Al-Awtar" , Vol. 7/p122-124.
1) That he is killed with the sword, then burnt. This is narrated from Abu Bakr and 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib.

2) That a wall should be collapsed upon him. This was the opinion of 'Umar and 'Uthman.

3) That he should be thrown from the highest building in the city, then that should be followed up with him being pelted with rocks. This was the opinion of Ibn 'Abbas.

4) That he is stoned. This is narrated by Al-Bayhaqi from 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Ash-Sha'bi, Az-Zuhri, Malik, Ahmad, Is'haq, and Ash-Shafi'i.

5) That they are burned. This was narrated by Al-Bayhaqi, that Abu Bakr gathered the Sahabah and 'Ali mentioned this, and the Sahabah agreed upon it. It was also mentioned by Al-Munthiri that it was done by Abu Bakr, 'Ali, 'Abdullah Ibn Az-Zubayr, and Hisham Ibn 'Abdil-Malik.

6) That he is stoned, then burnt with fire. This is narrated from the Sahabah agreeing upon it in the time of Abu Bakr

7) That the punishment is the same as Zina, in that if he is a virgin, he is whipped, and if he is not, then he is stoned.

8) That there is no prescribed punishment, rather it is left up to the Imam to perform Ta'zir, and this was narrated from Abu Hanifah, and one narration from Ash-Shafi'i, and others.

Ash-Shawkani refutes the opinion of the punishment being the same as Zina, as well as the opinion that there is only Ta'zir, and supports the opinion that he is killed, but does not appear to specify which way of killing is the strongest.

And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) (5) Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; (6) But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors;(7) (Al-Mu'minun 23:5-7)

- the issue of chopping the hand is so sensitive, kaafirs can’t cope with it
- but they are hypocrites they have one wife and ten girlfriends
- they treat their girlfriends like dirt, the kuffaar are sick
- they need to learn how to mind their own business
- you the kaafir, when you have one wife and ten girlfriends, do you see the Muslim complain?
- you get left alone because you are a human devil

- A man went on Jerry Springer and said his horse Pixel is his wife and they are sexually active
- these kaafirs are a waste of space

- a Soofi doesn’t know anything about Islam, other than dhikr and break dancing in the masjid

- they want to turn you from lions into goats

Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve . (Al-Baqarah 2:62)

- they use this ayah to say Christians are not kaafirs!
- the Murji’a quote this ayah, what a dodgy aqeedah you have!
- they don’t even know the tasfeer on the ayah
- this ayah is talking about the Jews and Christians living in the time of Moses and Jesus
- as for the ones living in our times todays, they will be in the hell fire

Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikûn will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. (Al-Baiyinah 98:6)

- this is the evidence, they are the worse of created things, why?
- because they reject Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a prophet
- these people are extreme Murji'a
- Shaikh’s African tour wasn’t all about schools

- Shaikh went to high school in Jamaica to talk about Islam
- a boy from another class come and he was about 16 and he asked about polygamy
- the Shaitan doesn’t want kids to learn about Tawheed
- Shaitan doesn’t want kids to come away from shirk
- instead of asking about Tawheed, they asked about polygamy, these kids were only 13
- if you die believing Jesus is god you are going to be in the hellfire
- they were at the age of puberty, why would a 13 year old kid be interested in polygamy?
- always avoid these sort of things when you are giving Da'wah
