MERITS OF THE DAWAH
1. IT MAKES YOU BECOME PIOUS BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH
Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? (Al-Baqarah 2:44)
O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? (2) Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do.(3) (As-Saff 61:2-3)
2. IT SHIELDS YOU FROM THE TEMPTATIONS OF THE SHAYTAAN
- You are remembering Allah when you give the Dawah
3. IT IS A FORM OF DHIKR
- You are always remembering Allah (SWT)
- Aisha (RA) said if the first thing sent down
- was to stop fornicating and drinking...no one would give it up
Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for dhikr (the remembrance of Allah) that which pleases Allah; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge.'' [Tirmidhi 2322 and Ibn e Majah 4112, (Abu Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadeeth is hasan ghareeb)]
4. IT IS A GREAT SOURCE OF BARAKAH
- when he performs Salah, Zakah, Sawm, Hajj etc you get the Barakah
5. SWELL THE RANKS OF THE MUSLIMS
- thousands are taking Shahadah at your hands
6. IT INCREASES YOU IN YOUR EEMAAN
- when you see people embrace Islam, it makes you grow in yaqeen
They intend to put out the Light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Qur'an, and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it). (8) He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammed ﷺ) hate (it).(9) (As-Saff 61:8-9)
7. IT INCREASES THE PROFESSIONALS IN ISLAM
- Increase professionals who will come into Islam and strengthen the Ummah with their skills/expertise
8. IT ERADICATES FAWAHISH
- unlawful sexual intercourse
- a person could have been a gay or woman a prostitute
9. IT SAVES YOU FROM THE EVIL OF THE KUFAAR
- this kaafir could have raped Muslim woman
10. IT ENHANCES BROTHERHOOD AND SISTERHOOD
- white revert, black reverts, Hindu...
The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy. (Al-Hujurat 49:10)
- A black man/white man who is a kaafir is not your brother
11. IT ERADICATES DISEASES OF THE HEART
Narrated Jubair ibn Mut’im: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said: "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyah or who dies for `Asabiyah." [Sunan Abu Dawud (Vol. 2, pg. 753) No. 5121]
- you’re not allowed to be a nationalist, rationalist, tribalist etc
- you have to get rid of the isms and schisms
And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided. (Aali Imran 3:103)
12. ERADICATES JAHL (IGNORANCE)
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east (i.e. neither it gets sun-rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e. nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. Light upon Light! Allah guides to His Light whom He wills. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything. (An-Nur 24:35)
- Allah’s message is not for the east or west but the whole world
- When Allah said He is the nur He is talking about knowledge, Allah is not light, it is Gabriel who is
13. DAWAH IS THE ULTIMATE LIBERATION
- servitude from man to man to servitude from man to Allah
- takes them away from the darkness of Jahiliya to lightness of Islam
- takes you from the narrowness of the dunya to the vastness of the hereafter
And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims." (Fussilat 41:33)

Feb-05-2012
- Inviting your neighbors over for tea and biscuit etc is not the best way to give Dawah
- Jihad fisabilillah is the best way to give Dawah
- You cannot compare Dawah and jihad
"To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islamic Monotheism)." (Al-Kafirun 109:6)
- this ayah was revealed in Makkah, did you see any of the Sahabahs say this to the people?
- they said either you accept Islam, pay the Jiziyah or get prepared to fight
- why? because this ayah was revealed when the Muslims were weak
Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikûn (see V.2:105) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (At-Tawbah 9:5)
Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know. (Al-Baqarah 2:216)
- just because Sheikh talks about Dawah and the etiquettes of Dawah and the merits
- don't think that Dawah is the best way to spread Islam
- the Sahabahs didn’t have time for farming etc, they were soldiers
- the Jews and the Christians were the farmers
- the Sahabahs didn’t have time for these things, they were busy conquering
- Muawiyyah Ibn Abi Sufian conquered North Africa
- Jihad fisabilillah is the best way to give Dawah
1. YOU TURN UP WITH CLEAN CLOTHING
- if you know you are in a country where people pay attention to clean clothing
- you can’t turn up with unclean clothes
- when the angel Jibril (AS) came to teach the Sahabahs their Deen
- the clothing he wore were exceedingly white
Umar (RA) ibn al-Khattab (RA) said that they were with Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) when a man came wearing extremely white clothing and deep black hair but signs of a journey could not be detected on him nor could they recognise him as one of them. He came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and sat down beside him, his knees touching the Prophet’s (ﷺ). He asked “O Muhammad, what is faith”? He said, “It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers (peace be upon them all), in the Last Day and in Predestination of good and evil.” He asked, “And what is Islam?” He said, ‘It is. to testify that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger (ﷺ) to establish the Salah, to pay the Zakah, to perform pilgrimage of the House and to fast in Ramadan.’ He asked, “And what is Ihsan”? He said, It is that you worship Allah as though you see Him, for it you cannot see Him, He sees you.” The visitor remarked, “In everything that you have spoken, you spoke truth.” Umar (RA) said that they were surprised at his questioning him and then confirming that he spoke the truth. Next, he asked, “And when is the Hour?” He said, “The one who is questioned does not know more about it than the one who asks.” He asked, “Then what are its Signs?” He said, “That a maid-servant will beget her mistress and that you see barefooted, naked-bodied, helpless shepherds construct tall buildings.” Umar (RA) said that the Prophet (ﷺ) then met him after three days and said, “Umar (RA) , do you know who the questioner was? He was Jibril come to teach you the basics of your religion.” [Bukhari 47, Muslim 4, Tirmidhi 2619, Abu Dawud 4695, Nisai 5005, Ibn Majah 63, Ahmed 184]
2. PUNCTUALITY - YOU SHOULD ARRIVE ON TIME
- imagine you have a masjid with 1,000 people and you arrive late for Salatul Jumm'ah?
Allah says
Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; (Al-Mu'minun 23:8)
- did you see how Prophet Sulaiman (AS) got upset when the bird was late?
- Ibn Abbas said the punishment he wanted to give this bird was to pluck out his feathers
He inspected the birds, and said: "What is the matter that I see not the hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? (20)"I will surely punish him with a severe torment, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear reason."(21) But the hoopoe stayed not long, he (came up and) said: "I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba' (Sheba) with true news.(22) (An-Naml 27:21-22)
(I will surely punish him with a severe torment) Al-A'mash said, narrating from Al-Minhal bin 'Amr from Sa'id that Ibn Abbas said: "He meant, by plucking his feathers." 'Abdullah bin Shaddad said: "By plucking his feathers and exposing him to the sun." This was also the view of more than one of the Salaf, that means plucking his feathers and leaving him exposed to be eaten by ants. (or slaughter him,) means, killing him. (unless he brings me a clear reason.) i.e. a valid excuse, Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah and 'Abdullah bin Shaddad said: "When the hoopoe came back, the other birds said to him: "What kept you Sulayman has vowed to shed your blood." The hoopoe said: "Did he make any exception (did he say 'unless') They said, "Yes, he said: (I will surely punish him with a severe torment or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear reason.)" The hoopoe said, "Then I am saved." [Tafseer Ibn Kathir, (2nd Edition: 2009), Volume 7, page 115-116, Juz' 19 (Part 19): Al-Furqan 21 to An-Naml 55]
- that bird was an expert in water, when the bird was late Sulaiman (AS) took it personal
- that’s why he wanted to punish him
- every year thousands of Muslims get sacked from their jobs because they turn up late
3. BE KIND TO YOUR GUEST THAT COME TO YOU FOR DA'WAH
The Messenger of Allah said: “Anybody who believes in Allah and the last day should not harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in Allah and the last day should entertain his guest generously and anybody who believes in Allah and the last day should say what is good or keep quite”. (Sahih Bukhari (Arabic/English) Vol.8 pg.29 No.47)
- don’t go to the house of a kaafir to explain Islam to him then start begging
"But verily! I am going to send him a present, and see with what (answer) the messengers return." (35) So when (the messengers with the present) came to Sulaiman (Solomon), he said: "Will you help me in wealth? What Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay, you rejoice in your gift!" (36) [Then Sulaiman (Solomon) said to the chief of her messengers who brought the present]: "Go back to them. We verily shall come to them with hosts that they cannot resist, and we shall drive them out from there in disgrace, and they will be abased."(37) (An-Naml 27:35-37)
- Sulaiman (AS) returned the gifts of a queen
- and he told them if you don’t come to me and surrender to Islam I am going to invade Yemen
- because this army comprised of Jinns and so she surrendered
4. BE SINCERE IN YOUR DAWAH
- don’t speak from your lips, speak from your heart
- one day Hassan (RA) heard a speech and said either there is a disease in my heart or in his
- because I am not touched by his speech
- speak from your heart, it penetrates the hearts of others
- be sincere in your Dawah, do not use the Dawah to seek fame and fortune, Allah will expose you
Narrated By Jundub: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who lets the people hear of his good deeds intentionally, to win their praise, Allah will let the people know his real intention (on the Day of Resurrection), and he who does good things in public to show off and win the praise of the people, Allah will disclose his real intention (and humiliate him). [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith #506]
5. DO NOT QUOTE FABRICATED EVIDENCE
O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, Al¬Ansab, and Al-Azlam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaitan's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful. (Al-Ma'idah 5:90)
- in the early days of Islam when a girl committed Zina her punishment was to be put under house arrest
And those of your women who commit illegal sexual intercourse, take the evidence of four witnesses from amongst you against them; and if they testify, confine them (i.e. women) to houses until death comes to them or Allah ordains for them some (other) way. (An-Nisa 4:15)
The woman and the man guilty of illegal sexual intercourse, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment. (This punishment is for unmarried persons guilty of the above crime but if married persons commit it, the punishment is to stone them to death, according to Allah's Law). (An-Nur 24:2)
6. WHEN GIVING THE DAWAH DO NOT QUOTE FABRICATED HADITH
- when you go to some masjids they quote Jihad Nafs Jihad Akbar
"We have come back from the minor jihad to the major one" someone asked: "What is the major Jihad O Messenger of Allah?" he replied: "Jihad of the nafs," (This report, collected by Bayhaqi is fabricated as mentioned in Mannaar as-Subl of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah)
Ibn Taiymiyyah said in Al-Furqan PP. 44-45: "This hadith has no sources and nobody whomsoever in the field of Islamic knowledge has narrated it. Jihad against the disbelievers is the most noble of actions and moreover it is the most important action for the mankind."
- how can you tell the Muslims the rasul (ﷺ) said that?
Do you consider the providing of drinking water to the pilgrims and the maintenance of Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) as equal to the worth of those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah? They are not equal before Allah. And Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers). (At-Tawbah 9:19)
- this hadith stinks according to Ibn Qayyim
- jihad against the disbelievers is the noblest act
- the Goofy Soofi and Tablighi like quoting this hadith
- how can you be on the mimbar of the rasul (ﷺ) and quote such a hadith?
- somebody may tell you in the crowd that you are lying and disgrace you
“Marry and do not divorce for verily Allah's throne shakes whenever a divorce occurs.” [Related by Ibn Adee and classified fabricated by Ibn Jawzee, (Narrated by Ibn ‘Adee in al-Kaamil (5/112) and by al-Khateeb in Tareekh Baghdaad (12/191), and via Ibn al-Jawzee in al-Mawdoo’aat (2/277), via ‘Amr ibn Jumay’ from Juwaybir from al-Dahhaak from al-Nazzaal ibn Sabrah from ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (RA).)]
- the rasul said anybody who tells a lie against me
Narrated By Anas: The fact which stops me from narrating a great number of Hadiths to you is that the Prophet said: "Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith #108]
- You become a liar if you know the hadith is fabricated and quote it
- but if you did not know, then you did not lie
- or maybe you are a MUDALLIS, a person who knows a hadith is fabricated and keeps quiet about it
- he deceives the Ummah about hadith
7. DO NOT SEEK TO EXPLAIN THE ALLEGORICAL VERSES IN THE QUR'AN
It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Qur'an). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkam (commandments, etc.), Al-Fara'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc.)]; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabari). (Aali Imran 3:7)
- there are full stops here, after Allah, the Shi’ites remove the full stop and say their imams too
- also the Qadiyaani do this, they are saying their imams know the allegorical meaning
Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. (Al-Baqarah 2:1)
- One of these ayahs is Alif Lam Mim and when you ask them,
- they will say Alif means Allah, Lam means Jibreel and Mim means Muhammad
- this is the Aqeedah of the Mu'tazila
- but they have 30 different opinions amongst their scholars
- each one guessing and no one knows who is right and who is wrong
- it's better you stick to the translation of Ibn Kathir
- he said these are verses that none knows their meaning but Allah
Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawahish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allah for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge." (Al-A'raf 7:33)
- When you try to explain these verses with your Aql, you are speaking with no knowledge
- the rasul (ﷺ) said anyone who explains the Qur'an with his own opinion
- let him take his seat in hellfire
Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “He who speaks on the Qur’an without possessing knowledge must assume his seat in the Fire.” [Musnad Ahmad (Vol. 1, pg. 269) No. 2429, Sunan at-Tirmdhi (Vol. 5, pg.198) No. 2950, Abu Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadeeth is hasan]
Jundub ibn Abdullah (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “If any one speaks on the Qur’an giving his own opinion and even if he is correct, he has done wrong.” [Sunan at-Tirmdhi (Vol. 5, pg.201) No. 2953, Sunan Abu Dawud (Vol. 2, pg. 344) No. 3652]
8. DO NOT INTERRUPT THE PERSON'S SPEECH ASSUMING YOU KNOW WHAT HE IS ABOUT TO SAY
- whenever a person is speaking don’t cut him off in the middle of his speech
- you don’t know what is in a man’s heart, don’t assume you know what he is going to say
- did you know when the angel Jibril (AS) used to come to the prophet
- the prophet (ﷺ) used to be filled with enthusiasm
- and would speak before Jibril says what he came down to reveal
- so Allah used the Qur'an to teach the prophet good adab
- so don’t cut the person when he is speaking
Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur'an, O Muhammad ﷺ) to make haste therewith. (16) It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad ﷺ) the ability to recite it (the Qur'an), (17) And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad ﷺ through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Qur'an's) recital. (18) Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you,(19) (Al-Qiyamah 75:16-19)
9. BE A GOOD LISTENER
- be a good listener, in order to refute the Aqeedah of the speaker
- every good listener is a good learner, therefore when you are in the field of Dawah listen carefully
- when the fitna of the Khawaarij came, Ali (RA) asked Ibn Abbas (RA) to debate with them
- he asked what they were holding against Ali, Ibn Abbas listened carefully
- they were massacred at the battle of Nahruwan
Ibn ‘Abbas narrated: When the Hurooreeyah (Khawarij) rebelled, they isolated themselves in a place. There were 6000 of them and they were united in rebelling against ‘Alee. Continuously people would come to ‘Alee and say: O Ameer ul-Mu’mineen! Verily these people are rebelling against you. He said: ‘Leave them, verily I will not fight them until they fight me and [they will fight me] that’s what they will do.’ So when it came to that day, I came to ‘Alee before the Zuhr prayer and I said to him: ‘O Ameer ul-Mu’mineen! Delay the prayer until it is cooler perhaps I will speak to these people. He said: ‘Verily, I fear for you.’ I said: 'Never! I used to be known as a man of good manners, I never harmed anyone.' He gave me permission to go. So, I put on a very nice garment, the best of what one could get from Yemen and I combed my hair. Then, I visited them at midday whilst they were eating. I had entered upon a people, the likes of whom I had never seen with regards to their exertion in worship. Their foreheads were wounded due to Sujood (prostration) and their hands had become rough like camels' feet, wearing recently washed, untidy shirts with very high, raised clothing with tired and worn out faces [due to not caring for themselves]. So, I gave salaams to them and they said, ‘Welcome O Son of Abbas! And what is this cloak you are wearing?’ I said, ‘what deficiency do you see from me? Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allaah (SAW) dressed in the best of what you can find in Yemeni clothing, then I recited this verse (Say, who has forbidden the adornment given by Allaah, which He has produced for His slaves, and the good things He has provided) [Soorah Al-A’raf :32] Then they said, ‘What has brought you here?’ I said to them, ‘I have come to you from amongst the Companions of the Prophet (SAW) the Muhaajiroon and the Ansaar and from the son of the uncle of the Prophet (SAW) (‘Alee), who is his son-in-law – and upon them descended the Qur’aan; and they are more knowledgeable about it than you and there is not one of them amongst you. I have come to convey to you what they say, and to convey to them, what you say. A group amongst them said, ‘Do not debate with the Quraysh because verily Allaah, Azza wa Jaal, says (Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people) [Soorah az-Zukhruf :58],’ Then a group of them turned towards me and two or three of them said: ‘Verily, we will speak to him.’ So I said, ‘come forward, what is the grudge you have against the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah – and the son of his uncle (‘Alee).’ They said ‘three points’. I said, ‘And what are they?’ They said: ‘Then one of the points is that he (‘Alee) had men judge in a matter of Allaah whilst Allaah said (The judgment is for none but Allaah) [Soorah an-Anaam : 57 and Soorah Yusuf : 40 & 67] What have men got to do with the Hukm?' I said, ‘This is one point.’ They said, ‘As for the second point; then he fought and he did not take captives nor did he take the war booty, if they were Kuffaar, then their captives are permissible for us and if they were believers then their captives are not permissible to take nor was it allowed to fight them.’ I said, ‘This is the second point, and what is the third point?’ Or he said something similar. They said: ‘He should remove the title of Ameer ul-Mu’mineen and if he is not the Ameer ul-Mu’mineen then he is the Ameer ul-Kaafireen.’ I said, ‘Do you have any points other than this?’ They said: ‘This is sufficient for us.’ I said to them: ‘Do you understand, that if I read to you from the Book of Allaah, Jalla wa thanaa’ahu, and from the Sunnah of His Prophet (SAW) that which refutes what you say; will you return (back)?’ They said: ‘Yes.’ I said: “As for your statement That ‘Alee had men judge in a matter that was for Allaah; then I will read to you from the Book of Allaah, where Allaah has delegated His Hukm to men regarding the eighth of a quarter of a dirham. Allaah, Tabaraka wa Ta'aala, commanded the people to judge in this matter. Do you not understand the saying of Allaah, Tabaraka wa Ta'aala: (O you who believe, do not kill the game while you are in a state of ihram, and whosoever of you kills it intentionally, then the penalty is an offering equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you.) [Soorah al-Ma’idah : 95] And it is from the Hukm of Allaah that He delegated men to judge in this matter, if Allaah willed, He could have judged in this matter, but He allowed men to judge. I ask you, for the sake of Allaah! Are men judging in reconciling in disputes and in preventing bloodshed or judging regarding hunting a rabbit better?” They said: ‘Of course, this is better.’ ‘And regarding a woman and her husband: ( If you fear a breach between the husband and wife, appoint two arbitrators, one from his family and the other from hers ) [Soorah an-Nisa : 35] Is not men judging in reconciling disputes and in the prevention of bloodshed better than men judging regarding the private parts of a woman? Have we finished with this point?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘As for your statement, He fought but did not take captives and did not take war booty, then would you take your mother, Aa’ishah, as a captive, making her permissible for yourselves for that which you make permissible from other than her whilst she is your mother? If you say: “We make Halaal from her that which we make Halaal from other than her,” then you have made/committed Kufr. And if you say that, “she is not our mother,” then you have also made Kufr: (The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers ) [Soorah al-Ahzab : 6] and so you are between the two ill judgments. So, which of them do you want to take? Have we finished with this point?’ They said: ‘Yes.’ ‘As for ‘Alee removing the title of Ameer ul-Mu’mineen, then I will give you something that will please you: Verily, the Prophet of Allaah – made an agreement/contract with the Mushrikeen on the Day of Hudaybeeyah, and the Prophet (ﷺ) said to ‘Alee: “Write, O ‘Alee! This is what Muhammad, the Messenger of Allaah, (ﷺ) agrees with.” They, the Mushrikeen, said, “If we knew you to be the Messenger of Allaah, we would not have fought you.” So, the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said: ‘Erase it, O ‘Alee! O Allaah, Indeed You know that I am the Messenger of Allaah, erase it O ‘Alee! And write this, “This is what Muhammad ibn Abdullaah (ﷺ) makes an agreement/contract upon.” ‘I swear by Allaah, that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) is better than ‘Alee and even he erased his own name and erasing his name does not erase his Prophet hood. Have we finished with this point?’ They said: ‘Yes.’ ‘2000 of them came back while the rest of them rebelled and fought, based upon their misguidance, and the Muhaajiroon and Ansaar fought them.
[Narrated by Abdur-Razzaq in his book ‘al-Musannaf’(18678), Ahmad (1/243), al-Haakim (2/150-152), Ibn Abdul Barr in his Jama' Bayaan Uloom (2/962-964/ 1834), ad-Darmi in his 'Sunnan' (1/68-69) & by Bahshal in 'Tareekh Wasit' this narration is reported on the authority of 'Amr bin Salma, It has been narrated by Abdullaah bin Ahmad in 'Zawaid az-Zuhud' (p.428) & by Abu Na'eem in 'Hileeyat al-Awwleeyah' (4/380-381). Also by Tabraani in 'Kabeer' (9/125-126), Al-Haythamee narrated it in 'Mua'jam az-Zawaid' (1/181)]
10. DO NOT SHOW OFF WITH YOUR KNOWLEDGE
- don’t deliver a flourished speech to show off with your knowledge of i.e. Tafseer, Hadith, Grammar etc
- Luqman told his son not to
"And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster. (Luqman 31:18)
- Allah does not love the proud one
It Is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ), observed: He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise. A person (amongst his hearers) said: Verily a person loves that his dress should be fine, and his shoes should be fine. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: Verily, Allah is Graceful and He loves Grace. Pride is disdaining the truth (out of self-conceit) and contempt for the people. [Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith #0164]
Prophet (pbuh) said: “The thing I fear for you most is ash-Shirk al-Asghar (minor shirk). The Companions asked O’ Messenger of Allah, what is minor shirk? He replied, ‘ar-Riya’ (showing off), for verily Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection when people are receiving their rewards, ‘Go to those for whom you were showing off in the material world and see if you can find any reward from them.” (Reported by al-Imaam Ahmad, at-Tabaraani, and al-Bayhaqee)
11. DO NOT USE OBSCENE LANGUAGES
- don’t use F words, don’t speak like someone coming from the ghettos
Allah does not like that the evil should be uttered in public except by him who has been wronged. And Allah is Ever All¬Hearer, All¬Knower. (An-Nisa 4:148)
12. DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE WHEN GIVING DAWAH
"And be moderate (or show no insolence) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the voice (braying) of the ass." (Luqman 31:19)
- Luqman was grooming his son to be a Da'ee, the one who calls others to Islam
- to propagate Islam
13. DO NOT GIVE DAWAH TO A MAN WHOSE HEART IS SEALED
- you are throwing diamond to the swine, Allah did not tell you to give Dawah to everybody
Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). (Al-A'la 87:9)
- “IN” in this ayah means if you give Dawah to someone who listens to what you say
- to the argumentative person you will be wasting your time
- so you are not allowed to give Dawah to the argumentative person
And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord, but turns away from them forgetting what (deeds) his hands have sent forth. Truly, We have set veils over their hearts lest they should understand this (the Qur'an), and in their ears, deafness. And if you (O Muhammad ﷺ) call them to guidance, even then they will never be guided. (Al-Kahf 18:57)
Narrated by ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The most despicable person to Allah is one who is harshly argumentative." [Al-Bukhari (2457) and Muslim (2668)]
SEVEN SIGNS TELLING YOU THAT A PERSON'S HEART IS SEALED
i. THE PERSON IS ARGUEMENTATIVE
- cantankerous
- garrulous
ii. THEY REJECT THE TRUTH
iii. THEY HATE ISLAM
iv. THEY HATE THE MUSLIMS
v. THEY ARE ADDICTED TO UNLAWFUL PLEASURES OF THE FLESH
- how can a gay embrace Islam? Even if he does, he is going to try incorporate his lifestyle in Islam
- the pink mosque
Gay Imam in Cape Town:
http://www.al-bab.com/arab/articles/text/gt_may2007.htm
- Muhsin Hendricks has his own tafseer, he is the gay imam in Cape Town
- I clashed with him in South Africa
- his tafseer is that Allah destroyed the people of Lut because they wanted to rape the Angels
- and he calls his halaqa the inner circle, he puts a spin on the Qur'an, not a tafseer
vi. THEY BELONG TO A DAWAH GROUP INVITING TO KUFR
They are those upon whose hearts, hearing (ears) and sight (eyes) Allah has set a seal. And they are the heedless! (An-Nahl 16:108)
- like the Jehovah’s witness
vii. THEY BELONG TO A SATANIC ORGANISATION
- like the illuminati
You are not allowed to invite a person to Islam if his heart is sealed and above are the 7 signs
And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Qur'an, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything. (Al-Kahf 18:54)
Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). (Al-A'la 87:9)
And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. (Al-Furqan 25:63)
- the righteous servants of Allah walk with humility on earth and they do not go on the level of the ignoramus
14. SPEAK STRAIGHT TO THE POINT
O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. (70) He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and made to enter Paradise).(71) (Al-Ahzab 33:70-71)
- when giving Dawah, do not beat around the bush, do you see Allah doing this in the Qur'an?
Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikûn will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. (Al-Baiyinah 98:6)
- Allah called the Jews and Christians 'worst of creatures'
- and this is the proof not to beat around the bush
SHAIKH IN PRISON
- he got in trouble in Belmarsh because of this ayah and he was taken to maximum unit
- and they brought clean-shaven Muslims, who said it was his fault
- why did Shaikh not choose other ayahs
- Allah does not mince His Words, He told you in 9:73
O Prophet (Muhammad ﷺ)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, - and worst indeed is that destination. (At-Tawbah 9:73)
- to be harsh with the disbelievers and munafiqeen
- the kaafir who is a sympathiser to Islam, you are not allowed to be harsh on him
- you should be harsh on those who are antagonistic to Islam and Muslims
- Allah said wage Jihad on them
When you beat around the bush you give the wrong impression, that is why it is haraam to do so
- if you do so, you are wasting time and the wasters are the brothers of Shaytan
- When you get a proposal don’t lead the person on, Allah said speak straight to the point
- if you beat around the bush, you are fearing man not Allah
It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "No one of you should belittle himself." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, how could anyone of us belittle himself?" He said: "If he sees something concerning which he should speak out for the sake of Allah but does not say anything. Allah will say to him on the Day of resurrection: "What prevented you from speaking concerning such and such?" He will say: "Fear of the people." (Allah) will say: "Rather you should have feared Me." [Sunan Ibn Majah (Arabic/English), Vol 5, pg215, Hadith #4008]
If someone asks you for character reference, you should speak the truth
- and if you know he is not trustworthy, tell him you can’t do business with him
- don’t beat around the bush and say: “I will think about it”!
When I did Jokers in the Pack, I called the Brelvis kuffaar and they were surprised
- but if you don’t tell them, they will say: “they were not informed in dunya”
- you are not allowed to beat around the bush especially with Tauheed
- because you will be leading them to hellfire
- If a Christian asks you whether he has a chance to paradise if he denies Muhammad, tell him no
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, any Christian or Jew who heard about me and died whilst rejecting me, such a person is in the hell fire to abide there forever”. [Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith #284]
- they don’t beat around the bush because they tell you:
- “if you don’t accept Lord Jesus as your savior you will go to hellfire”
- so why do you beat around the bush with your haqq?
