SHARH OF THE 40 HADEETH OF IMAM AN NAWAWI: HADEETH NUMBER 7.2

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

SHARH OF THE 40 HADEETH OF IMAM AN NAWAWI: HADEETH NUMBER 7.2

[''HOW TO BE SINCERE TO THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH ()'']

HADITH NUMBER 7:

On the authority of Tameem ibn Aus ad-Daree (RA): The Prophet () said, "The deen (religion) is naseehah (advice, sincerity)." We said "To whom?" He () said "To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk." [Related by Muslim]

In order to be sincere to Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى, 14 conditions have to be found
-the same for the Quran and the Prophet (
)

14 CONDITIONS TO BE SINCERE TO THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH (
)

1. TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS THE MESSENGER WITOUT ANY DOUBT

If you have doubt you are a kaafir
-it is haram for Muslims to marry you
-you should not enter Makkah or Madina
-and should not be buried in the graveyard of the Muslims

Muhammad (
) is the Messenger of Allāh, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allāh and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurāt (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allāh has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islāmic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad SAW till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise). (Al-Fath 48:29)

This ayah is talking about the people with Tauheed
-the Berailvis and soofis are grave worshippers and have a mark on the forehead.
-this ayah is not talking about them but those on the haqq.

And We have sent you (O Muhammad
) as a Messenger to mankind, and Allāh is Sufficient as a Witness. (An-Nisa 4:79)

The tafseer for this is that the rasul (
) declared himself as the Prophet
-and Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى gave him success
-even the kuffaar attest to this
-Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى disgraced the others who declared themselves prophets after him like Musaylimah.

2. YOU NEED TO BELIEVE THAT HE WAS THE LAST PROPHET

Muhammad (
) is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allāh and the last (end) of the Prophets. And Allāh is Ever All¬ Aware of everything. (Al-Ahzab 33:40)

A person who believes that there is a prophet after Muhammad (
) is a kaafir
-it is haram to marry him.
-it is haram to eat his slaughter.
-it is haram to allow him to enter Makkah and Madina.
-you are not allowed to pray behind him.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (
) said: “My likeness and the likeness of the prophets before me is the likeness of a person who built a house, made it beautiful and made it complete, except the place of a stone in the corner. So people began to go round and to wonder at him and say: ‘Why have you not placed this stone?’ I am that stone and I am Khatam an-Nabiyyin (the Seal of the Prophets)". [al-Bukhari (3535) and Muslim (2286)]

-you cannot do janazah over them when they die.
-this hadeeth proves that Muhammad (
) is the last Messenger.
-anyone believing otherwise is a kaafir.

3. YOU NEED TO BELIEVE THAT HE WAS THE BEST PROPHET

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah (
) said: “I am the most noble of Adam’s descendants on the Day of Resurrection. I am the first whose grave shall be opened. I am the first to offer intercession. I am the first whose intercession shall be accepted.” [Sahih Muslim (4/1782) No. 2278]

On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik (RA) the Messenger of Allah (
) said: “Amongst the prophets I would have the largest following on the Day of Resurrection, and I would be the first to knock at the door of Paradise.” [Sahih Muslim (1/188) No. 196]

On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik (RA) the Messenger of Allah (
) said: “I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and ask for it to be opened. The gatekeeper will ask, ‘Who are you?’ I will say: ‘Muhammad.’ He will say, ‘I was commanded not to open it for anyone before you.’” [Sahih Muslim (1/188) No. 197]

If you don't believe that he was the best prophet or you make him equal

-to any other Prophet then you are not sincere to him.

4. YOU NEED TO LOVE HIM MORE THAN YOURSELF, YOUR PARENTS AND THE WHOLE OF MANKIND

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his wives are their (believers') mothers (as regards respect and marriage). And blood relations among each other have closer personal ties in the Decree of Allāh (regarding inheritance) than (the brotherhood of) the believers and the Muhajirûn (emigrants from Makkah, etc.), except that you do kindness to those brothers (when the Prophet SAW joined them in brotherhood ties). This has been written in the (Allāh's Book of Divine) Decrees (Al¬Lauh Al¬Mahfûz)." (Al-Ahzab 33:6)

It was narrated that Anas said: The Prophet (
) said: “No one of you truly believes until I am dearer to him than his father, his son, his own self and all the people.” [Narrated by al-Bukhari (15) and Muslim (44)]

Narrated By 'Abdullah bin Hisham: We were with the Prophet
and he was holding the hand of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab. 'Umar said to Him, "O Allah's Apostle! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self." The Prophet said, "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self." Then 'Umar said to him, "However, now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self." The Prophet said, "Now, O 'Umar, (now you are a believer)." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 78, Hadith #628]

5. YOU NEED TO LOVE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD

And (remember) when you (Muhammad
) left your household in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle (of Uhud). And Allāh is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Aali Imran 3:121)

-if Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى is saying that the rasul left his household to go to the battlefield.
-how can you say his wives are not part of his household.

O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allāh), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner. (Al-Ahzab 33:32)

And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salāt (Iqamāt¬as¬Salāt), and give Zakāt and obey Allāh and His Messenger. Allāh wishes only to remove Ar¬Rijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet
), and to purify you with a thorough purification. (Al-Ahzab 33:33)

-the ayah tells you that some men like to commit zina with married women.
-tabarrruj means going out without hijab.

6. YOU NEED TO LOVE HIS COMPANIONS WITHOUT INSULTING ANY OF THEM

And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful. (Al-Hashr 59:10)

Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (RA) narrated the Prophet (
) said: ‘Do not slander my Companions, for if one of you were to spend an amount of gold equivalent to the size of Mount Uhud, you would not even come halfway up to their level." [al-Bukhari (3673) and Muslim (2540)]

Abdullah ibn Mughaffal (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (
) said, “Allah! Allah! my Sahabah do not take them as target (for blame) after me. He who loves them, loves them because of his love for me and he who despises them, despises them because of despising me. And, he who abuses them, has abused me; and, he who abuses me, abuses Allah; and, he who abuses Allah, soon He will seize him (in punishment).” [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/696) No. 3862]

-He who loves them loves the rasul (
)

Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated the Prophet (
) said: "Whoever insults my companions, may the curse of Allah, the angels and all of mankind be on them." [al-Mu’jam al-Kabir al-Tabarani (12/142) No. 12709]

On the authority of Muhammad ibn Abdur Rahman who said: “A man in Kufa used to spread a rumour that Uthman ibn Affan (RA) was a Jew. So Imam Abu Hanifa (rh) approached him and said: ‘I come to you with a proposal’. The man said: ‘what is the proposal concerning?’ Abu Hanifa said: ‘I come to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage for a man who is noble, wealthy and a hafiz of the Holy Qur'an, he's devoted in worship. He spends the night praying and cries a lot from the fear of Allah.’ The man said: ‘you have said enough to convince me he's a suitable person to marry my daughter, O Abu Hanifa.’ Imam Abu Hanifa then said to the man: ‘Except that this suitor has a certain characteristic.’ The man said: ‘and what is that?’ Abu Hanifa said: ‘This man is a Jew.’ The Shia said: ‘SubhanAllah! Do you order me to give away my daughter in marriage to a Jew O Abu Hanifa?!’ The imam said to the Shia: ‘Do you agree to marry her to the Jew?’ The Shia said: ‘No!’ Abu Hanifa said: ‘But you are spreading the news that the Holy Prophet (
) married two of his daughters to a Jew.’ The Shia said: ‘I seek Allah's forgiveness! I turn to Allah with repentance as of now.’” [Related by al-Khateeb al-Baghdadi (d. 463 H) in 'Tarikh Baghdad', (Vol. 15, pg. 498-499)]

The rasul (
) gave two his daughters to Uthman (r.a)
-they claim that he was a Jew

Abdullah ibn Sabaa thought he could do to Islam what Paul did to Christianity
-he was the one who started the fitna between Ali and Aisha
-he also in sighted the murder of Uthman (r.a)
-he cast doubt about the integrity of the sahabah

We learn the deen from them about everything
-they compiled the Quran in the Qurashi dialect (Uthman)

SHIA HUJJAH: The present Qur’an is in an altered, corrupted and distorted form.. (Fatuhat-e-Shia, p. 129)

-if you succeed in casting doubt on them then you cast doubt on the Quran.

Abu Ja'far reports that Umar (RA) once sent a proposal to Ali (RA) for his daughter Umm Kulthoom's hand in marriage. When Ali sent a message stating that she was still too young, someone told Umar that the statement meant that Ali was refusing. When Umar explained to Ali (his reason for wanting to marry her), Ali (agreed to get her married to him and) said, "(Consider the marriage done, so) I am sending her to you and she is your wife if you are pleased with her." Ali then sent her to Umar who (knowing that she was his wife) ventured to lift the garment from her legs. (Not realising that the marriage was already concluded) She however exclaimed, "Leave it! Had you not been the Ameerul Mu'mineen, I would have slapped you across the face!" [Abdur Razzaaq and Sa'eed bin Mansoor, as quoted in Kanzul Ummaal (Vol.8 Pg.291). Ibn Umar Maqdasi has reported a similar narration, as quoted in Isaabah (Vol. 4 Pg 492)]

Ali gave his daughter Umm Khulthum in marriage to Umar (r.a)

-some of them say that Ali forced his daughter to marry Umar.
-this means he is an oppressor.
-they are hypocrites claiming they follow Ali whilst they don't do as he did.
-he gave bay’a to Abu Bakr (r.a) and Umar and also fought with them.

When they insult the sahabah they are insulting Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى
-because this means that He saw the rasul being with kuffaar and hypocrites.
-and did not correct him.

If you help him (Muhammad
) not (it does not matter), for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they (Muhammad and Abu Bakr) were in the cave, and he () said to his companion (Abu Bakr) : "Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allah is with us." Then Allah sent down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity, peace, etc.) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while it was the Word of Allah that became the uppermost, and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. (At-Tawbah 9:40)

-in 9:40 Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى declared Abu Bakr as a sahabah.
-they seek to veto Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى
-we wonder why these retards consider themselves Muslims.
-this is why it is important for the Syrian and Iranian regimes to fall.

…And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad
) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment. (Al-Hashr 59:7)

7. YOU MUST LOVE THE SUNNAH AND REVIVE IT

…And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad
) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment. (Al-Hashr 59:7)

-there is no room in Islam for Parvezi.
-these believe in Quran but not hadith.

Say (O Muhammad
to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Aali Imran 3:31)

-they are liars because the Qur’an commands us to follow the rasul (
)

With clear signs and Books (We sent the Messengers). And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad
) the reminder and the advice (the Qur'an), that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought. (An-Nahl 16:44)

-this ayah is telling you that the purpose of the rasul (
) is to explain the Quran
-Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى told you to pray but didn't tell you how to pray

DEBATE OF THE QUR’ANIST: http://cancersinthebodyoftheummah.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/debate-of-quranist-and-students-and.html

Narrated By 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle
said, "Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 12, Hadith #723]

-we know how to pray because the rasul (
) explained to us how to pray.
-when to pray and how many rak’ah.

"Pray as you have seen me praying..."

[Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 11, Hadith #604]

Say (O Muhammad
to mankind) : "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Aali Imran 3:31)

Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. (3)
It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. (4) (An-Najm 53:3-4)

Abu Musa Ash’ari reported that Allah’s Messenger (
) said, “Wearing silk and gold is forbidden to the men of my Ummah. But (they are) allowed to their women.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/217) No. 1720, Sunan An-Nasa'i (8/161) 5148]

-this ayah (53:3-4) is telling you that hadith is revelation.

8. TO DEFEND HIS HONOUR BEHIND HIS BACK

When the rasul (
) conquered Makkah four people were killed
-one of them was a slave woman who used to sing against him.
-she was taking orders from her master.
-yet she was killed.
-because the punishment for insulting Allah, the rasul and the Quran is death.

Hussain ibn Ali related from his father Ali Ibn Abi Talib that the Messenger of Allah (
) said: "Whoever curses a Prophet, kill him. Whoever curses my Companions, beat him." [al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (5/35) No. 4602]

It was narrated that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami said: "A man spoke harshly to Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, and I said: 'Shall I kill him?' He rebuked me and said: 'That is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah (
)"'. [Sunan Nasa'i (7/108) No. 4071]

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that: 'A blind man had a freed concubine (umm walad) who used to insult the Prophet (
) and say bad things about him. He told her not to do that but she did not stop, and he rebuked her but she did not heed him. One night, when she started to say bad things about the Prophet () and insult him, he took a short sword or dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it and killed her. The following morning that was mentioned to the Messenger of Allaah (). He called the people together and said, “I adjure by Allah the man who has done this action and I adjure him by my right over him that he should stand up.” The blind man stood up and said, “O Messenger of Allaah, I am the one who did it; she used to insult you and say bad things about you. I forbade her, but she did not stop, and I rebuked her, but she did not give up her habit. I have two sons like pearls from her, and she was kind to me. Last night she began to insult you and say bad things about you. So I took a dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it till I killed her.” Thereupon the Prophet () said: “Bear witness, there is no blood money due for her.”' [Sunan Abu Dawud (4/129) No. 4361, Sunan al-Nasa'i (7/107) No. 4070, al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Bayhaqi (7/96) No. 13375, Sunan al-Daraqutni (4/116) No. 3194, Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/394) No. 8044, al-Haakim said: It is saheeh according to the conditions of Muslim although they [al-Bukhari and Muslim] did not narrate it. It was classed as saheeh by al-Dhahabi in his Talkhees, and by Ibn Hajar in Buloogh al-Maraam (pg. 369) No. 1215]

-but this law can't be implemented in darul harb but in the Islamic state.
-we say this so that the kuffaar won’t say Shaikh is inciting murder in paltalk.

9. TO AVOID RIDICULING MUHAMMAD (
)

If you ask them (about this), they declare: "We were only talking idly and joking." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger (
) that you were mocking?" (At-Tawbah 9:65)

Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after you had believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you because they were Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). (At-Tawbah 9:66)

According to sharia law if you laugh at a button on his shirt you become a kaafir

-this ayah was revealed at the Tabuk expedition
-Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى made takfir on those sahabah who made a joke about the rasul .

10. YOU SHOULD NOT LIE ON THE RASUL (
)

Narrated By Anas: The fact which stops me from narrating a great number of hadiths to you is that the Prophet
said: "Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith #108]

-they say they lie for him and not on him; this is kufr.

11. TO SEND PEACE AND BLESSINGS UPON HIM

Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad
) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad ), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As¬Salamu 'Alaikum). (Al-Ahzab 33:56)

-Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى sends His peace and blessings on him by talking about him with the angels.
-and saying He has forgiven him.

Ali ibn Abu Talib (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (
) said, “The miser is he before whom I am mentioned but he does not invoke blessings on me.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/551) No. 3546, Musnad Ahmad (1/201) No. 1736]

-the angels also do so by asking Allah
اللهُ سبحانه وتعالى to forgive him

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (
) said: "He who blesses me once, Allah would bless him ten times." [Sahih Muslim (1/306) No. 408, al-Adab al-Mufrad, al-Bukhari, No. 443, Sunan al-Nasa'i (3/50) No. 1296, Sunan Abu Dawud (2/88) No. 1530, Sunan Tirmidhi (2/355) No. 485, Sunan al-Darime (2/408) No. 2772, Musnad Ahmad (2/372) No. 8841]

-as for us we need to say (
) when his name is mentioned.
-if you send blessings on him once Allah does so 10 times on you.

Abu Hurayrah (RA) and Abu Sa’eed Khudri (RA) bore testimony that Allah’s Messenger (
) said, “Whenever a people remember Allah, the angels surround them, mercy envelops them and peace descends on them, and Allah mentions them to those with Him (the angels).” [Sahih Muslim (4/2074) No. 2700, Sunan Tirmidhi (5/459) No. 3378, Sunan Ibn Majah (4/706) No. 3791, Musnad Ahmad (3/49) No. 11481, al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (10/425) No. 11931]

12. YOU NEED TO GIVE DAWAH TO SPREAD HIS RELIGION

-You should compete to give as much shahada as possible.

Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful. (Aali Imran 3:104)

-when you give shahada to people whatever good deeds they do you get the barakah.

13. TO IMPLEMENT HIS SHARIA

So Whosoever abandons the wise Shariah which was revealed upon Muhammed ibn Abdullah, the seal of the prophets, and goes to other abrogated Shariah for judgment, he becomes a Kaafir. So how about the one who goes to al-Yaasiq (man-made law) for judgment and gives it precedence (over the Sharia of Muhammed (
). Whosoever does this has become a Kaafir by the Ijma of the Muslims. [Ibn Kathir, Al-Bidayah Wan-Nihayah, Vol 13, p119]

Shaikh 'Abdul-'Azeez Ibn 'Abdullaah Ibn Baaz said: "There is no Eemaan for the one who believes the laws of the people and their opinions are superior to the Hukm of Allah and His Messenger or that they are equal to it or that they resemble it or who leaves it or replaces it with fabricated laws and institutions invented by people, even if he believes that the laws of Allah are more encompassing and more just." [Wujoob Tah'keem Sharee'ah Allah' (pg. 16-17)]

14. TO DO JIHAD TO ESTABLISH/SPREAD HIS DEEN

And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world[]]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do. (Al-Anfal 8:39)

-Fitna in this ayah means shirk.
